We have no gas logs or fireplace. When my brother and his family lived with us during one winter, they lived upstairs. We had to heat the upstairs for them and we still didn't use near this much. We had been staying really warm, maybe I could understand, but we have not been comfortable all winter. And we have a new more efficient furnace. Does anyone here use the free standing electric fireplaces? If so, how much do they cost to run?

My husband said the man had checked everything last time he was here. There is absolutely no way in h---, we could have used that much propane. 500 gallons in two months?!?!?!?

Supposedly, the guy checked for a leak when he filled it. This past summer we had a new furnace put in that is supposed to be 95% efficient. I really don't know what we are going to do. We have lived here 16 years and have always had gas last us at least 3 months and they never needed to fill it over 60%. Something has to be wrong but I don't know what to do about it. If the guy checked it in December, something had to be wrong then and so I don't think the same people can find a problem. We had already decided to switch companies when I got this bill paid off but never expected this so soon.

Our tank was filled 85%(500 gal tank) the week of Christmas. Our bill was over $1000.00. We are now out. I have been cooking a lot less and we completely turn the heat off 45% of 24 hours. Something has got to be wrong!!! Does anybody have any suggestions. It is only 2 of us at home.

Well, my husband's UE stopped this week. He is now umemployable due to health. He can't get a job at all. The disability is going to probably take 2 years, so what do we do in the meantime?

I grew up in Cobb County and always thought all counties were the same-----wrong. I just found out that only Cobb County allows to stop paying school taxes when you reach 62 years old. I guess I will be moving back to Cobb County in a few years!

I smoke but I don't even throw a butt down in any yard, even my own. What bothers me the most, is people(I think teens)throwing cans in my yard.

We are on a fixed retirement income and I need to ask a CPA a question. A friend was telling me about a law passed in the last year concerning this situation. He said only a CPA would know the answer.

We plan on being at EPHS, but why so early since the family isn't leaving til later?

I stopped the Crestor 3 weeks ago and my arms got considerably better. My doctor said it would take about 2 weeks. Well, it has been 3 weeks and I seem to be stopped at this stage of occasional pain from mild to severe. Is this normal to last this long?
