I handle the website for City of Dallas -- quite naturally, the School Closing, for tomorrow, is on the City's website -- not sure who does the School System's website.......I did receive confirmation about the School Closings for tomorrow, from the City before posting to their site........I would imagine whoever handles the website for the School System, will update that particular site, as soon as possible......
  3. From WSB-TV's website (09-22-09) 12-Year-Old Hit By School Bus Dies CEDARTOWN, Ga. -- A 12-year-old Cedartown boy hit by a school bus two weeks ago has died. Wyatt Pilgrim had been in critical condition since he was hit by a bus on the morning of Sept. 9 while waiting for another bus that was to take him to Cedartown Middle School. Probably for 2-3 days, for human and pet consumption......Perhaps boil water, putting the water in containers, storing in refrigerator....Should be okay without boiling water for other uses, like showers / bathing, unless bathing infants (let water cool first!!)....... From the AJ-C website (09-22-09) Several creeks, rivers surpass predicted crests Flood warnings have been posted calling for moderate to major flooding on several local creeks and rivers: Chattahoochee River - The river's level near Vinings was at 27.36 feet before daybreak Tuesday after cresting at 28.1 feet overnight. Flood stage is 14 feet, and anything above 20 feet is considered "major" flooding. The river was expected to slowly recede, falling below flood stage on Wednesday. The level overnight was the second highest on record, exceeded only by a crest of 29 feet in 1919.

  17. Even though we won't be getting the amount of rain, today, as we've seen over the last couple of days, it still will be raining today. There's still a lot of flooding on the roads / highways in various areas in Paulding, Cobb, Douglas, and the metro area. Unless absolutely neccessary, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DRIVING and STAY OFF THE ROADS -- we all know people will be curious, however.....the flooding needs to recede first!!   21. From the AJ-C website Minute-by-minute updates 7:27 p.m. Firefighters continue to respond to flooding and weather related incidents. There have been multiple reports of people being rescued from fast-rising flood waters by firefighters and police officers. Four police officers along with the occupant of a house on Camp Creek Road in Lilburn had to be rescued by firefighters.
