Bottom line Beach Bum This was done in complete secrecy from Todd Pownall the record will prove this out not just from the e-mails posted here but also from the lack of other e-mails. This is a big issue for many Paulding County residents and there is no way that this deal should of been done in the cloak of darkness. I really do not understand why the need to keep something secret for this long was required. Been doing some thinking, Was SPLOST tax dollars used and still being used to widen and extend the runway? This should be pretty easy for you to clear up. Send a e-mail to David Austin and ask him when he told Todd about the deal on the airport, Ask for a copy of the e-mail that made him aware that a deal had been made on the airport. Ask him for a copy of the agenda that was sent to Todd by e-mail stating they were going to vote on the contract over a year ago. Heck just to satisify your mind on ths issue have you see the language of the motion and the minutes of the meeting when it was passed? Yes you are wrong about this. this e-mail was sent to Commissioner Pownall some 11 or 12 months after Commissioner Austin held a out of ordinary meeting and agreed to sign a contract with Propeller Inc. That is the same e-mail that David Austin was waving at the commissioner meeting inferring that Todd knew about the deal. It has since been proven that this was a very misleading statement by David Austin if not just an out and out lie, He should be ashamed of himself for not including the Commissioner whose Post includes the the Airport. Got to be more than that a few years back we had over $400 million for sewerage improvements, $125 million for school bonds,$65 million for the Court house complex, $15 million for the greenspace $ 6 million for the movie studios $ 5 million for the airport terminal who knows how many million for the Industrial park. This does not include several million that was owed by the County for previous bond issued that we are still paying on Has to be over $600 million

Not sure how much has been paid off but it is close to $750,000,000 which would include the sewer system.,And the water Dwpartment infrastructure

Are you aware that we just recently built a $ 1,000,000 water tower because we did not have enough water pressure, We now have to tie in with Dallas sewerage system not to mention a fire station on site to comply with FAA requirements and the beat goes on Million here a Million there and we cannot afford to give the County employees a raise

If I was not aware of the prior history as it relates to a second airport for the City of Atlanta I would probably not be opposed to commercial passenger service out of our airport. I believe the Chamber is wrong in issuing this letter,I also believe that the Board of Directors are wrong by allowing their names to be published with this letter indicating or inferring their support.
