  1. It was last discussed and proposed under the Shearin Adminstration and a public earing was held at the Senior center and suggestions were taken to any possible Needed changes. P. DOT and the State held the public hearing Scott Green should have the information./ Part of the widening was discussed in the one cent new sales tax proposed a few years back. I have never seen a proposal of a four lane going beyond Hiram Sudie Road on the South Side. The work that is being done at the intersection of 61 @ the BBQ place north of Villa Rica could possibly be some work in preparation of the
  2. Lurker At the commissioners meeting during the budget hearing the fire chief raised this issue in regards to the need to carry a $6,000,000 RESERVE FUND for a total fire department budget that less is less than $11,,000,000 for the entire fiscal year.' We sat next to each other and had a discussion on the issue at the meeting. Maybe you need to talk with the fire chief, Some of the conversation is on the video on the stop page. I thought that was a ridiculous number for a airport that small, and I really questioned the chief on this issue. There are some disagreements on this issue, m
  3. That is very close to the area It is my understanding that the project is off HWY 61 not directly on the Highway
  4. Jane Ty elections are for making changes, The election is not over until the votes are counted on November 8th 2016.. Of course you knew that you were just trying to mislead the citizens. If the citizens are okay with 3,258 of 74,435 registered voters making the decision as to who is going to hold the highest elected position in the county I can live with that. I would like to see a candidate oppose the primary winner in November, Heck that is why the law permits this!!!!
  5. Not a scheme Glassdogs, It is part of the election laws of the State of Georgia. We really need more than 4% of the registered voters to elect the Chairman
  6. WOW what a dodge, are you really okay with hiring 21 firemen to work the airport 7 days a week 24,7 for two flights per week at a cost to the tax payers of over $1,125,000. we don't have that many firemen protecting our schools and homes per fire house? WTH is wrong with these pro airport folks. I am so glad that Todd, Tony, Ron and Vernon is looking out for the citizens!!!
  7. Going North on HWY 61 just past Pumpkin Vine creek on the right side stops South of Mt. Moriah road
  8. Search is coming along okay. I was in hopes that you would be with me on having another election for Chairman? Surely you do not want a person running the county that only received 3,258 out of 74,435 registered voters? Heck glassdogs that is just a little over 4% of the registered voters????
  9. Glassdogs The facts are that David Austin forced a resignation from Jamie Gilbert who has head of the Paulding County Economic Development, After he had made great strides in the new Business Park on Bill Carruth Parkway. David Allowed the Director of the PCED to remain vacant for months before filling it with Robert Reynolds., And even reduced the budget the last two years for this department. David Austin drew up a budget this year and last year that did not include any money for the Industrial Building Authority, and being ran by Brother, Boyd Austin, who very handily got the defun
  10. DAVID Austin HAS RAISED TAXES ALMOST EVERY YEAR HE HAS BEEN IN OFFICE!!!
  11. It's been a special weekend. The fund raiser at YNOT was very special. Watching the community come together to support our friend Robbie was a thing we see just a few times in one's life. Church was GREAT this morning and our visit this afternoon with Robbie was the BEST ever. They are alternating running the vent 4 hours then letting him breath on his own 4 hours. Robbie's Mom Peggy & I watched them take him off the vent. The therapist said he did GREAT. I then was standing ...by his bed and I told him he was doing GREAT. He opened 1 eye, turned his head to me, then opened the other eye.
  12. Lurker Can you be more specific,. Or can you provide a copy of the e-mail, Or can you provide the name of the person that received the e-mail?. Or maybe the case number?
  13. So..... I guess you are now agreeing that a write in for the General Election is a viable option? Glad to see you took the time to actually read the law before attacking the messenger again. Glass dogs 8.29% of the 74, 435 registered voters. took the time to vote in the primary. I thought you railed against low voter turn out. Here is another opportunity for citizens to REGISTER and VOTE for the person that they want to run the County for the next four years. I think the next Commission Chairman will have a much better chance of healing the County if he receives more than 3,258
  14. It does not have to be Sam, I simply used him as a example of a person that could be a very good write in candidate
  15. Nope, I am not kidding, If I can find a viable candidate that is honest and transparent, that is willing to run, that has some name recognition and the ability to bring this County together. I will be supporting that candidate in a write in campaign on the November 8th 2016 ballot. I very strongly feel that 3,258 out 0f 74,000 plus registered voters who voted in a primary election should not dictate who the most powerful government official in Paulding County is. Of course in a presidential election we will have close to a 50% turn out which will be more representative of the feeling
  16. Does Sam Clark sound like a good choice ? Sam is a outstanding pillar of the community, well respected, Honest, Transparent, with a huge name recognition, and a very liked person in the community A very successful businessman whose integrity is beyond reproach!!! Has the well being of Paulding County at heart, and has served in elected positions within the County with honor and dignity for years. Now all we have to do is convince Sam to run and we are off to the races.. No controversy here just a excellent candidate for a very important office in the County, Easy name to
  17. Actually Robbie was helping to cook the Hot dogs, and Leanne was helping to put them in the buns, they were always working at some benefit to help someone in need, or something for the veterans/ servicemen!!!
  18. Just for you and Lurker....... Quit spewing out false information. Here is the law!! http://elections.mytimetovote.com/dates/georgia.html
  19. nd by all means stick to the facts, and you want have to eat crow so often.
  20. I surely believe that God is working a miracle with Robbie Dobson!!!
  21. Fsssssssssssssssssssst. Read the law you big meanie.......... HOORAY!!! at last a real choice will emerge.
  22. Well, I guess you know more than the folks that run the elections?? I obtained the complete information from the elections office in May 2016 right after the primary election and I saw then that we had two choices on the ballot that I cared nothing about. This has never been a secret. I posted about this several times, Right here in this thread and some other places.. The winner last Tuesday was only a Primary election winner, and is obligated to face off with any opponent in the General Election. The opponent in the General Election could be a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or
  23. A write in for the general election is the easiest, I am not sure a write in for a primary is possible, although it may be legal. Thousands more folks will vote in the general election than voted in the republican primary, and everyone gets to vote for the candidate of their choice whether they are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or non partisan The turn out will be huge probably exceed 40% due to the presidential election, Congressional elections, and some other Ballot initiatives Like the new jail , Heck I haven't gave up on a vote to spend $215.000,000 for the new reservoir ? I t
  24. It is time for a new beginning. More so now than ever. 9 % of the registered voters should not dictate who will run this County for the next four years. The election laws of the state of Georgia Provide for write in candidates for the general election, in the event you are not satisfied with the outcome of the primary election. Hopefully a group of concerned citizens will come together, join hands, select a viable, honest, transparent, capable, person to contest the PRIMARY winner Dave Carmichael. This election is by no means over, the general election in November is the f
  25. Wow I wonder how Tundra is going to spin this? The records were not in fact secret files that has been alleged. Based on this conversation it appears that Tundra could of been told by Vernon Collett that the statements were coerced. However Vernon Collett back tracked on that statement if I am reading this correctly??? \ OH wait..... Tundra NEVER DID REPLY AS TO WHO DID THE alleged coercing.... Dang what a tangled web we weave when at first we try to deceive!!!!! From what I have been told this also occurred while he was working for the fire department. No proof of this.......
