I grew up in Smyrna. Our family lived off Pat Mell Rd (between Atlanta and South Cobb Dr.).I went to King Springs for 1st grade and then to Belmont Hills for 2nd-5th grades. I went to Osborne middle... last 8th grade class there, and Wills High (last class to graduate from there). Our family left Smyrna in 1994. I know a few people that still live in Smyrna.

What middle school did you and your brother attend?

Belmont Hills Elem., Osborne Middle (it closed at the end of my 8th grade year), and Wills H.s c/o 1989..the last graduating class.

The Tennessee Shindig was a good show. I wanted to do The Comedy Barn/Black Bear Jamboree combo..but there was no show for the Comedy Barn when we were there.

I say "I am going to run to the store." Then someone (usually my dad) says "why don't you drive? It would be faster". One that gets me is my parents say that their neighbors live down in the hole. Their (the neighbors) house is down the hill from the road, not in a hole!!! LOL My daughter wonders why I say "roll down the window" in the car, when we have the automatic windows. They never had to turn the knob to get a window down, so they have no idea what I mean. How about 'jump in the shower or tub'? Have you seen anyone actually 'jump' up to get in the shower/tub?
