  3. So what are you saying, I just looked it up.... I said "the" instead of "well" I should have sang it to myself, Took a jump through Mississippi, Well, muddy water turned to wine, Took a jump through Mississippi, Muddy water turned to wine. I didn't remember this part Then I out to California through the forests and the pines Oh, take me with You, Jesus But I did remember this part You might not see him in person But he'll see you just the same You might not see him in person But he'll see you just the sa

  5. Glad you had a safe trip and was able to spend time with your dad. Glad you're home too! I missed you,
  6. Me too. My girlfriend gave it to me.
  7. OMG That's so funny, and true. Chick-Fil-A is not your usual fast food joint and I appreciate that. They are ALWAYS nice with a smile on their face. Truett Cathy wouldn't have it any other way.
  8. She fits perfect into the stroy.............she got them started. The Eagles began when Linda Ronstadt and then-manager John Boylan recruited session musicians Glenn Frey and Don Henley in the spring of 1971
  9. I head that..............I love some good blues and change ups!
  10. I read that a few months back, so sad, she had a beautiful voice, and she was beautiful. She has Mexican in her and a lot of history and she came from money. Linda's father Gilbert came from a pioneering Arizona ranching family[15] and was of German, English, and Mexican ancestry.[16] The family's influence and contributions to Arizona's history, including wagon making, commerce, pharmacies, and music, are chronicled in the library of the University of Arizona.[17] Linda Ronstadt's great-grandfather, graduate engineer Friedrich August Ronstadt (who went by the name Federico August
  11. I met my best girlfriend when I started work at the phone company back in 1971. Somewhere around 1973 she says "We need to go see Z Z TOP"..........and I said "Who?" I had never heard of them. She was from Roswell, NM and she knew about them and had seen them in some of the bars out west. So we go to see Z Z TOP. Now back in the day, we used to go to concerts at the old Atlanta Auditorium. They still had the huge lighted dico ball hanging from the ceiling, and I gotta tell you, when those 3 guys came out and I heard the sound they put out, I was totally blown away. I couldn't believ

This ought to get good......the school topic was getting old.
  13. Glenn's thing is the "HOOK". He's so estatic when he sees a hook on the radar during severe storms. I like Brad much better, but he can't talk without his hands. LOL He was on GMA this past Saturday in New York. I watch Ken, Jeff and Joanne on Fox5.
  14. Our lake froze yesterday morning and froze even more as the day went along. We didn't get up above freezing yesterday. It's still frozen today and on our end it's thicker and some kid might look at it and think he could step on it. And if he did try he would crack throuh the ice Maybe Glenn thought you were in his space trying to tell him what to do. Ego? I don't know but I do know ice is dangerous. Let me know when you figure it out. ;(
  15. I've always loved Linda Ronstadt since she was with the Stone Poney's in the sixties and I first heard "Different Drum", 1967-68, which BTW was written by Mike Nesmith of The Monkeys in 1965. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyukvmVRHgE
  16. I knew she did it, but in my mind it belongs to the Eagles. Maybe that's why they didn't sing it.I've been trying to find if the rights belong to someone else. Nope, that's not it...."Desperado" is a soft rock song by the Eagles, an American rock band, written by group members Glenn Frey and Don Henley. Anyway, I'm always reading and I found this: The Eagles began when Linda Ronstadt and then-manager John Boylan recruited session musicians Glenn Frey and Don Henley in the spring of 1971.[6] Henley had moved to Los Angeles from Texas with his band Shiloh (produced b
  17. Geeze Louise, I was going over their song list and there are soooooo many, just when I think I have a favorite, I have another one. LOL Oh, and you're one lucky girl, I remember we paid a small fortune 10 years ago for seats, and I know they're even more now!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhRrq8tB7JE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SrXi1SsFgg Love Glenn Frey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C070_4ya98Y Love Joe Walsh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXWvKDSw
  18. I will say this, of all the songs they did, they DID NOT sing Desperado. They finished, left the stage and I thought, ok.............do they want us to holler for an encore............nope. That was it. I never figured that one out.
  19. We saw the Eagles in Atlanta I'm guessing about 10 years ago and they were great! Sounded as good as ever............and they're not that old. Glenn Frey is only 65, the rest are 66. They've probably still got it and you will enjoy it. The Eagles are my husbands favorite band. When we made our trips to Daytona for Bikeweek or Biketoberfest, we always started out with Willie Nelson "On the Road Again", lots of CD's in between and ended with The Eagles. Enjoy!
  20. Bless her heart, prayers for her and the family.
  21. I could be wrong, but they don't hire under 18.
  22. My 17 YO grandson hasn't had any luck either. Good luck.
  23. I ended up going to SAMs and getting mine back when I posted this. I like it a lot but don't use it a lot. It does keep frozen meats much better. And if you find a deal on the bags, post it because they're expensive.
