So you are saying it would be OK to extend the runway EVEN more to accommodate the LARGE DELTA jets that would fly in and out for M/R and create even more noise than what the smaller commercial jets the limited commercialization is proposing? INTERESTING that it's OK for the bigger planes to be serviced here, but not OK for actual passenger service. 10% of DELTA's M/R work would be many more flights and planes than than what is currently being proposed.

The ONLY reason to even think this is anywhere near correct is because the Lawyers handling the lawsuits are ALSO DELTA Attorneys and IF they are doing this it is BECAUSE of DELTA and that is the same thing! Out of almost 150,000 residents would you care to comment on the ACTUAL number who went to the polls and the % who voted for Tony and Vernon? In an election that had a normal turnout (which is still ridiculously low) Tony was defeated by David Austin a few years ago when he ran for Commission Chairman. This was just a way for Tony to get in the back door by riding on the Airport issue.

Rose...We are saying the same thing, I am NOT saying EVERYONE living near the Airport is a new resident...obviously a few were living there and SOME even sold some of the property to the City of Atlanta and Hartsfield back in the 70's. BUT the reality is you can count these families on one hand, and the subdivisions and growth in housing around the Airport property were built and families that bought in these subdivisions KNEW there was a possibility of an Airport being built at some point! This describes EXACTLY what Todd and the rest of the STOP ALL PROGRESS IN PAULDING group was TRYING to do by BUYING off the recent election and loading the BOC with Vernon and Tony in hopes of creating an atmosphere where NOTHING POSITIVE would get accomplished! Todd tried everything he could the other day by constantly talking over David and the others trying to "table" this vote and stall it off in hopes of putting it off until the OTHER puppets were in place. This BOC made sure that didn't happen!

A HUGE WIN at this weeks Paulding County Board of Commissioners meeting! In spite of EVERYTHING the STOP ALL PROGRESS IN PAULDING group has tried since last Oct., the BOC voted to move the AIRPORT forward. Thru an Intergovermental Agreement the Airport now stands ON IT'S OWN and will be funded thru a grant to finalize the Environmental Assessment one of the last hurdles to finishing the Airport. By moving the Airport AWAY from the political arena and out from under the control of the BOC the citizens of Paulding County can now benefit from the HUGE ASSET that is Silver Comet Field.

I don't mean to come off as some of my post do...BUT I get SO tired of listening to K.V. and his constant badgering of our county and its elected officials. Sitting in the BOC meeting and watching him attack and yes I mean ATTACK David and the others was embarrassing and with media in the room from 46, the AJC, MDJ and others you just know it going to end up on the news.
