You are not REALLY supporting the AIR SHOW if you don't go and support it Financially! This just give you an "OUT" to dig at the show in the weeks after the event! If you had taken time to attend the BOC meeting (which you did not) you would know that the $55,000 figure came FROM the COUNTY and it's estimated cost of $53,000 for Sheriff's, Marshals, EMT's, and Fire protection! This neither creates a plus or minus for the event!

One of THE BEST things about the BOC meeting yesterday...was seeing you just SITTING there and keeping your MOUTH SHUT!

Look...What happened...HAPPENED!!! Todd, Vernon & Tony GOT CAUGHT with their pants down! They were trying a CHILDISH power play and it BACKFIRED on them!... They finally saw the amount of support the AIRPORT has as the room was FULL with folks standing in the doorways at the BOC meeting! Vernon at least went around the room before the meeting trying to "mend a fence" by shaking hands with anyone he could but Todd and Tony stayed behind closed doors and NEVER came out to visit! There was at least a 3 to 1 (maybe a bit more) supporters FOR the AIRPORT at the BOC and they let it be k

If the "Clowns" had stayed away and DELTA had not covered all these lawsuits we would have seen a LOT more than the 2+ jobs you LOVE to pontificate about! If everyone is SO sure the Limited Commercial will not work then it will take care of itself BUT the way to find out is give it a chance and let's see if market share isn't there.

VERY EXCITED about the new EPHS Coach! He SHOULD have been here 2+ years ago before Goddard was allowed to turn the clock back 15 years! Just watch what a bit of discipline and respect as well as good football knowledge does to turn these RAIDERS around. The teams that have been laughing at EAST now need to again FEAR coming into the "BONEYARD"! If you were talking about the new FALCONS coach I also think that was a good hire! As far as the other matter I am going with what I KNOW is FACT and about to happen!

We as a County are SO FAR past this thought or concern that it needs to be a NON-ISSUE...The Airport is HERE...It is ALREADY BUILT!!! We HAVE to as a COUNTY (and not the limited amount of voters who were misinformed to get Tony & Vernon elected) get past this and make this Airport work...It will NEVER as a General Aviation Airport even break even let alone make $$$...But with LIMITED COMMERCIAL, basically VACATION destination sites it will sustain itself and grow!

This is BECAUSE of the STUPID and BACKWARDS thinking of people like YOU who are costing our COUNTY MILLIONS of $$$ fighting these ridiculous DELTA funded lawsuits. If you would SHUT UP and let the AIRPORT grow as planned it will generate the $$$ you keep saying it will not!

All that has happened is that the recent election has set PAULDING back 20+ years! We have three "GOOD OLE' BOYS" now sitting on the Commission who only got elected by lies and out of county $$$ being pumped into the election! Todd wants to be sitting in David's chair so bad he can taste it and we all know Tony also does as he lost soundly to David in a previous election for the Chairman's seat. Even WSB knows as they reported last night that DELTA and City of Atlanta $$$$ are behind the Anti-Airport group! We have an opportunity with SIlver Comet Field to build and grow for the futur

It's amazing to read some of the post...WHAT DID YOU EXPECT? Todd has been against Growth in Paulding and the Airport expansion FROM DAY ONE! He worked hard getting out of county $$$ to finance Vernon & Tony getting elected. This was nothing more than a blindsided power play on their part and and end of day...MEANS NOTHING! The Airport can (and will) move forward with or without the backing of the commissioners! Of course we tell the kids this BUT this is the years they LEARN and need the training that comes with being properly COACHED...if you send them out without the proper training, ie the tools needed to win...we have LET THE KIDS DOWN!

IN NO WAY did ANYTHING in my post reflect negative against the kids / players with the exception of saying that COACH GODDARD has brought them to the games UN-prepared to WIN! This is evident from the way they have been pushed all over the field by opposing players who are better prepared both physically and obviously better coached! AGAIN...In No way was I "Attacking" ANY of our other PAULDING County schools...you folks tend to "read what you want a post to say" instead of reading what it ACTUALLY says...But YES...I do feel IF the EAST program again started to win on a consistent basis and contend for the region and go deep in the playoffs that this would add needed $$$ to the program and HELP with this matter...would it SOLVE the problem...of course not!

LOL!...Chill out there "Gator"...Let me come at this from this angle...I had a son that played / graduated from Hiram and a Daughter from EAST...I pull for ALL our Paulding County teams...except when they play EAST...I am a RAIDER at heart...I agree with you 110% that the EAST team that took the field against Paulding County a few weeks ago did indeed have the attitude that this would be an "easy win" and that is my point ENTIRELY. EAST has a coach that cannot and will not inspire, coach, train, teach, or motivate in any way! PCHS absolutely played good that night...BUT EAST should NEVER let

I agree with you about the other schools opening having an impact although I don't think South Paulding had much if any effect. When North opened YES I remember the year when Seniors finished at EAST and had siblings attending NORTH...However if EAST puts a quality Winning program on the field they will see a turnaround in $$$ and a larger attendance at Home Games which will translate into more gate $$$, concession $$$ and Spirit Wear $$$. I think the problem really goes back to the previous principle...the Field House was built during the years of John Reid's Coaching time at EAST and was part of the improvements needed to build the Football program into the winning years it enjoyed then. This was only PART of many changes that took place then...the Football, Cheerleading & Band programs improved and grew as did attendance at both Home and Away games. East developed a winning tradition and the local business community responded thru sponsorships and donations, feeding the team, etc. The field house and other improvements

EAST beat LITHIA SPRINGS last Friday...a perennial loser who barely has enough players suited up to play the game. EAST has the SAME problems they have had...BAD COACHING, A QB that CANNOT PASS, a very porous Defense that CANNOT cover the pass and even worse a "D" line that is getting pushed all over the field! EAST has lost games to PAULDING COUNTY and to SOUTH PAULDING at home that they should have won and was LEADING ALLATOONA...who is undefeated and will be the Region Champs...late in the 3rd Quarter and could have won that game! LOL!...REALLY...You MUST not know ANYTHING about High School Football or the local teams...YES the score was 57 to 0 BUT they were playing LITHIA SPRINGS who is 1 / 5 on the year and BARELY had enough players suited up to play the game. This is a team the OLD EAST teams of the 90's could have beaten! EAST has lost games to SOUTH PAULDING at home 24 / 14, and to PAULDING COUNTY!!! 12 / 10 that EAST should have EASILY won! EAST opened at ALLATOONA who is now undefeated and will be the Region Champs and EAST LED this game in the 3rd Quarter before losing 27 / 21...BAD coaching and STU

East Paulding MUST replace Coach Goddard...the man is CLUELESS!!! He has in just a few short years tore down and destroyed YEARS of a WINNING tradition John Reid had brought to the program! EAST has now lost games to Paulding County AND South Paulding AT HOME in "THE BONEYARD"...Games they absolutely should have won! He has a QB that CAN'T pass but could be a good RB...He has one play that he runs 75% (or more) of the time...ALL NIGHT LONG!
