No I dont share my own confessions in public.....As a Catholic I go to confession for those. My priest is only a listener, my sins were forgiven couple thousand years ago. I dont agree with every Catholic who has an opinion nor do they agree with my opinions. At the church I go to we pray for Religious Freedom ever Sunday at the end of Mass. The Archbishop you quote might not like that prayer. Remember I do not group think but I do agree with some of the things the church does and says....for instance Religious Freedom.

Great Post.....I think the Jim Crow laws told people how to think. As is today the people tend to think what they are told to think by the media and what laws are in place. It should be the other way around....the people should tell the government how to legislate the laws we expect to see. If the majority of the people would pay attention to the issues and not Entertainment Tonight we might get somewhere faster. We all need to participate in driving our politicians to what we expect them to do. Right now our politicians drive us in what we should think...i.e. Division via the President,

A Billionaire who still thinks that black folks don't have a chance to make it. Incredible.

I dont write my own scripture PM, just dont follow it all....I am a flawed man. By the way, do you know why this country was founded on the Bible and why we have close ties to Israel? Ever look at the Presidential Seal? Or the country seal? or the Original country seal?

More than 50% of Catholics voted to reelect Obama. I never understood that.

All of this is true through statistical data as I estimated above but what really concerns me is the number of poor children living in one parent homes no matter what their skin color is. We have to look at what the government is doing to perpetuate the problem. The left needs poverty to win votes...that is the sickness of politics.

Actually I started reading the Blog from the Catholic Site and the man spoke in group talk.....racism. I do not accept that article as being helpful. The other blog from Media Matters is also an opinion nothing more. As you probably know I am Catholic but not the kind of Catholic that voted for Obama in the last election.

I have a question about Uncle Tomming as you call it. When a black person has their own individual opinion unlike the majority of their race they are an Uncle Tom? Just asking. If it is true that black folks cannot have an individual opinion of their very own or they are an Uncle Tom then I call that severe racism.

Probable cause does not include visual profiling. You cannot harass someone just because they look like Illegals......thats unless you are in NYC, there they fight crime by tearing up the Constitution.

Take control of your life and you will feel very good. Being pissed is a good sign. Going to pray for you.

Spunkywoman. What are you doing today to improve your situation? Just a question to ask yourself. I do care about people who are suffering.

EVERY single Government Agency in this country is a failure, that's why. Privitize Immigration Control and the INS and you will see an improvment. Firing every government woker in the INS would help.

Media Matters? Seriously?

PM, The corporate state as you call it is funded by working people who pay into their retirement funds. Do you think the working people are holding you down?

I am told you can go to the franchise car parts store and get it checked out for free. I believe there is one of those car part stores in the center of Hiram. Also make sure the gas cap has a good seal.....that is just my two cents.

PM, You a victim of someone else or yourself? Which is it? Apparently you are a victim in your opinion.

Crossing our border illegally is not breaking the law? What am I missing here?

Emmett Till was murdered in 1955 Eddie. Stand your ground law has nothing to do with someone jumping a fence and being shot. Stand your ground law takes out the decision on trying to flee and making a bad decision and being killed or standing your ground and defending yourself. No you dont have to make that decision to flee if the other person is threatening your life. Get it? Or you don't want to get it?
-
Wow, had no idea about this either. Like many African American children (75%) Emmett Till grew up with no Father.

Never had a chance? We live the in the most free country on earth with the greatest opportunities on earth and someone never had a chance? Really? I do understand if that person was mentally retarded or born with a learning disorder or a disease then I could agree but to think that because of skin color you never had a chance in these times? I dont get it.

I agree with giving mercy but how much mercy do you temper it with before it destroys the mercy giver?

Having waited two years for my wife to immigrate to the USA after we had been married I blame the immigration problem on the Texas Central Office of Immigration. That office is the worst. The agent who was handling our case could barely write much less spell in the handwritten letter I received from her. They lost our paperwork more times than I can count. My observation based on what I was told by others at that office is the agent did nothing all day and let the applications stack up in her office. Before any amnesty is done I would like to see that office gutted and rebuilt to work.

Why would Oprah say such a thing? All those years i held up her poster with one hand>>>>errr never mind that was Farrah. Eddie you don't know the law very well. They sure are using that stand your ground opportunity up in Chicago, why dont you talk about those deaths? Oh yeah, it doesnt involve anyone of a diferent race. George Z did not kill Trayvon because of race. It had nothing to do with race.

No doubt about it. Emmett Till's Mother let others see what they did to her son. More than 100,000 witnessed his open casket. It started the Civil Right Movement, Tragedy in many respects but the transformation from his death was a great thing too.
