  1. If you are going to try and implement an exercise program in with your diet. do not just look at cardio-only exercises. Studies have shown that mixing aerobic and anaerobic training will burn more calories over time (not just during the workout but recovery after the workout). And you do not have to spend hours on every workout. Mix up your routine and challenge yourself. That way you will not plateau. That is where most people get discouraged. And yes, I am a CrossFit fanatic but I have seen this type of programming work for so many people. It has to do with mixing up the workouts, making it
  2. When I was in high school, a friend had her car repo'ed from my parents driveway. I had a party while my parents were out of town and some friends had partied a little too hard and stayed the night. this girl woke up with her car gone. It kinda freaked me out that they would have followed her there.
  3. Congrats to your 5th grader. I use to train as PSD a few years ago. Master Key is just awesome.
  4. Awesome!!! Will have to take the kids. My wife and I used to be part of a puppet ministry at our old Church. She made all the puppets we used and their clothing. Here is a video of us doing a part in a Christmas play a few years back.
  5. I have a big pile of cardboard and was wondering if there is a place I could take it for recycling in the county.
  6. On its way GT. Thank you And you never really get into shape to do crossfit, you just have to get in and do it. It is really no worse than starting other workout programs; just really different from what you are use to. A guy I train with could not do pullups when he started in November, last week he did 20 in a row; all unassisted. There is even a 62 year old lady training with us. But then again, some love it and some hate it. It is definitely not for everyone. But neither is strict sets of 10 in a regular gym.
  7. Returning to a vegetarian diet and doing CrossFit should be fine. The most important thing is to feed your body. I try to follow a Paleo diet about 80%-85%. I have seen some go so strict on the Paleo that is actually cost them on their performance. They looked great and lean but would complain of not making the gains in strength or endurance. The problem was they were so strict on their diet, they were actually starving their body. They have made adjustments in their diet and are making gains like crazy. All diets are just basic guidelines but none are perfect for everyone. Every person needs
  8. Thank you, Blondiega1. And Sorry for my first post to be so long. I have been doing CrossFit for years and just love it. That is why I got certified; to learn more.
  9. I am a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer and I would like to clear up some misconceptions about CrossFit. 1) You do NOT have to be fit to do CrossFit. In fact, I would rather work with someone that is not on the "fit" side. Our workouts are (and should be) scaled down to each individual's ability and strength. Yes, the workouts are hard, to a degree. What is so difficult is getting over this idea that you cannot do it. Believe me, you can. It is not for everyone, but it is designed where anyone can do it. Will you be sore? Yes. But not any more than if you went to any other gym and had a trainer wo
