Anyone know what they are filming in Acworth?
WhatsurFranTime replied to paulas2girls's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Heard it was a movie starring Oprah. She is supposed to be down there today. -
My problem now is convincing myself (and people I train) these chili dogs are on my diet. They also served us some garlic bread that was delicious. I could have made a meal just out of the bread. The chicken my daughter ordered was not that good though...

Cool Thanks. And yes, the one where the awful Italian place was.

I guess I put too much in the title because my original post disappeared. I just wanted to see if anyone else had tried it and what they thought. We had great service, the owner came out and spoke with us and was very nice and the food was delicious.

Wondering if anyone else has tried the new restaurant at Crossroads. We went this past weekend and loved it. The food was great. The owner was very nice and old style coming out to talk to the patrons. Service was very good as well. I am so glad to see this restaurant here in Paulding. The only other place I have found this restaurant is in Michigan where my wife is from. I would always have to get my fix for these chili dogs when we would visit her family.

What time are you looking at working out? CrossFit Paulding has husbands and wives working out together. And they just trying out a 7:30 to 8:30 class on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights.

The biggest misconception about CrossFit is it is too tough. All workouts can be scaled to anyone's ability. The definition is varying functional movements at high intesity. My trainers and I concentrate on the function movements and technique first then add the intensity. That way you reduce the chance for injury. I am not sure how much I can really say on here but go by and talk to them and they can give you much more information. I know CrossFit Paulding offers 5 free workouts over a 2 week period to try them out and Saturdays are free as well for anyone interested. PM me if you wo

Considering cutting the cord and dropping cable
WhatsurFranTime replied to kcarlsonlpn's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We have been without cable for almost 2 years and we do not miss it at all. You should be able to find the Bulldog games online somewhere. I was the one that was hesitant about dropping cable in the beginning but now I am so glad we did. In fact, we watch better quality programs than when we had cable. We have an HD antenna, Netflix, and rent movies sometimes on Amazon. It has saved us so much money. -
Good point Mrs G. I had not thought about that. They did have signs taped on the pumps stating there were out of gas. One was the Chevron out 61 and the other one was a station in Canton.
-
They did not have any signs out, just the pumps covered so you did not see it until you had already pulled in. Like I said, I had not thought too much about it until yesterday and the lady said she had been to 2 in a row that was out.
-
This last week, I have pulled up to 2 different gas stations that were out of gas. Then yesterday, one of members at the gym pulled up and said she had to go to 3 different gas stations because the first 2 were out. I had not thought that much it because mine were on or around the weekend. I am just curious if anyone else has had this happen to them in the past week or so.

Just from what I saw in the video, I think he is a pretty strong kid; stronger than his mother. I was picked on and bullied in middle school pretty bad. If anything, I feel it made me stronger emotionally than the ones that bullied me. He needs to walk in school with his head held high to let everyone know that words and pranks like that are just that; words and stupid pranks, and they will not deter him from being proud of who he is.

If you get it from that Tractor store, try their store brand. They told us it was the same stuff but much cheaper. We saw no change in our dog and his allergy issues switching to the store brand.

Thanks everyone. This is a little celebration of my daughter hitting her first homer of the season (third in 2 years playing).

This may be an old question but I wanted to see if anyone knew where I could get my daughter's softball helmet airbrushed locally. Sorry...AIRBRUSHING....Have not had my morning coffee yet...

For heart related issues (CHF), you should weigh yourself close to the same time every day. If you see a considerable change from one day to the next, then you should weigh yourself a couple more times to make sure it may be something other than your heart but definitely be aware of it. You will see that weight fluctuation well before you see the edema and is a good sign to call your doctor and keep them informed of what is going on. The morning is usually best after the restroom break; if for no other reason but to be able to contact your doctor's office instead of an answering service.

Walking and getting moving helps but need to get some lifting in. And not having weights is not an excuse. You have your body weight. Do lunges, pushups, pullups, situps, squats, tricep dips... The variations are endless when just using your body. We use body weight exercises in many of our workouts. And stretching, you need to always get a good stretch after a little warmup and during cool down. Pushups - regular, hand release (go all the down and lift hands up before pushing back up), hand stand push off the wall, superman pushups pullups - strict, kipping, jumping, assisted lunges - s

GUILTY!!!!! I just love to see people make good life changes and the results of their labors and commitment. I once worked in a hospital and after dealing with so many sick people, I do not see "life" the same.

Leaked batteries in electronic devices
WhatsurFranTime replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Depends on where the crud is, but I have used baking soda and water to neutralize the acid. It usually comes right out without much trouble. Just make sure the electronics dries completely before using it. Usually, the acid is confined to the battery case area. Just use enough water to rinse the baking soda out. -
But that is just it. To get there, you have to take that first step. It does not matter if it is CrossFit or any other exercise program. The biggest step is the first one in the door; then do not get discouraged. Go back and try it again. If that does not work, try something else until you find your niche. The same way with the diet. Diets are nothing but temporary fixes unless there is a commitment behind it. If one does not work, try something different. Everyone is different and what diet or exercise program that works for me may not work for you. I do suggest if you do begin an exerci

I hope she is ok. This is my biggest fear with my girls. I have told them from the time they were old enough to understand about drugs and the dangers. I have tried to hold nothing back and give them the honest ugly truth about what drugs can do to their lives. I just pray when they are faced with those decisions, they will choose wisely.

It is...HAHA.

You would fit in perfect with many that work out with us. And trust me, you would not be running anywhere too quickly after. HAHA...Oh and we don't use none of those modern conveniences like air conditioning. AND you can drop the weights, grunt, yell, whatever.

Awesome job, GT. And yes, I think we could be buddies. But I must warn you, I do not do regular sets anymore. Give me a good 20-30 minute butt kicking workout that leaves me completely spent and I am good. You should come try it some time.
-
Absolutely GT!!! That is one concern I hear a lot. Women afraid of "bulking up". Tell me these ladies are bulky...
