You bring up an interesting point about an increase in the minimum wage. Let's say the minimum wage goes up to $10 an hour. Does anyone actually believe those who were earning $10 an hour before the increase will get a pay raise to keep them above the minimum wage at the level they were before? Maybe a small percentage might, but a minimum wage increase is going to have a huge economic impact on businesses, especially small businesses.
