  1. You want to see an act of racism where there isn't one. There was no act of racism here; hidden or otherwise.
  2. And here comes COWA trying to make this event an act of racism. In this thread, you will find where a resident of the subdivision gave an account of what happened. He said race had nothing to do with it. The guy who gave this account is black.
  3. Do you deny the fact that if the girl had obeyed the association rules, the party never would have happened, therefor there would have been no need to call the police? This is more of an example of how this is a cultural problem in society today.
  4. That's true. The bears are more likely to get in your garbage.
  5. Come on, was it necessary in the headline to point out the bear was black? Couldn't it had read "Bear" instead? Or "Bear Spotted in Paulding?" Was it necessary to profile the bear like that? What difference does it make what color the bear was? A bear is a bear and one being spotted in any neighborhood is newsworthy enough without having to refer to his or her color. I'm just injecting some humor.
  6. The fact remains, if the girl had obeyed the association rules regarding use of the pool, there would have been no need for people who lived in that community to call the police.
  7. I've watched this video quite a few times. I notice the reporter says the officer pulled out his gun and pointed it at people. I see something different. Yes, he pulled his gun from the holster, but it was never pointed at anyone. Look at it again and you will see he kept it pointed towards the ground. Why did he pull the gun out? Because two guys came up on him from behind. The news media is attempting to make this a racial thing; white cop v. black kids. This was a party that should never have happened. Some girl who lived in the neighborhood decided to have a pool party at the
  8. Americans are free to purchase whatever they choose they can afford, regardless of the manufacturer. I asked the question of afewcardsshy
  9. Should Americans buy a VW, BMW, Mercedes, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda? After all, those companies have manufacturing sites in this country and employ tens of thousands of Americans.
  10. You keep wanting to divert the discussion from the topic of union hypocrisy. Now you have taken it to an entirely different subject all together, but I'll bite. What do you want inmates to do while they're in prison pubby; watch TV and work out in the gym all day? I've seen you and others on the left before state prison should be about rehabilitation and not punishment. Now you want to complain that when they are given jobs to perform, that's not rehabilitation; it's slavery because they get paid such a minuscule amount. I could care less they're paid only .23 an hour as they are there se
  11. You bring up an interesting point about an increase in the minimum wage. Let's say the minimum wage goes up to $10 an hour. Does anyone actually believe those who were earning $10 an hour before the increase will get a pay raise to keep them above the minimum wage at the level they were before? Maybe a small percentage might, but a minimum wage increase is going to have a huge economic impact on businesses, especially small businesses. As I have said before, minimum wage does not decrease poverty or increase the size of the middle-class. Unions don't either.
  12. Did you know pubby the majority of BMW's sold around the world are made in SC now?
  13. I am currently half-way through my MBA program with a concentration in Human Resource Management. A classmate's husband was recently hired in a company with a union. He has no choice but to be in the union and is required to pay a $400 initiation fee. That's ridiculous. The UAW constitution requires its international leadership (president, vice-presidents, secretary-treasurer, and board members) to receive an annual payment of up to 3% of profit sharing dues. The profit sharing dues are 1.15% of the profit sharing check UAW members receive. 2015 profit sharing checks employees receiv
  14. In other words, you think the solution is for every place of employment to be a union shop. What you're calling for is for all of us as individuals to lose the right to choose whether we want to be in a union or not; to have unions forced upon us.
  15. I have offered a solution to deter employers from hiring illegals, yet you seem to think it's absurd without offering an idea yourself. So, what do you think should be done to deter employers from hiring illegals?
  16. You mean to say that not one Democrat is in the top 1%? We know that's not true. We also know that there are many business owners in this country who are also Democrats. You attempt to project that all businesses or individuals who hire illegals are all conservatives, which that is not true either. Your party has taken a very strong position to grant amnesty to illegals and provide them a pathway to citizenship. Your party also proclaims are borders are secure; an indication that people can no longer cross our borders with ease, which we also know not to be true. The truth of the matt
  17. Look at one of my earlier posts and you will see where I clearly stated the offense for hiring them should be criminal and the penalties increased.
  18. I agree, Bob should be fired. When the company goes to fire Bob, he in turn files a grievance and the union defends him and Bob gets to keep his job.
  19. In other words, you believe science should be manipulated to achieve a desired outcome. That's exactly what you're advocating with Jenner. The scientific fact is, he is biologically a male. Nothing about his DNA can be altered to show otherwise. He will always be a male. You're injecting emotion to change that fact. You call it "human understanding." Because you feel you have a lot of compassion for Jenner's choice, that everyone else should be just as compassionate and understanding to recognize him now as a woman. You want to call this science, but it is not because it does not alter
  20. Human understanding is not a science. Human understanding can be manipulated.
  21. His analogy was like comparing apples to oranges. Athletes, actors, etc are all represented as an individual for their individual talents. Does anyone think what George Clooney's agent gets him in a movie deal gives every other actor the same rate? What Clooney gets for a movie only benefits Clooney. Cam Newton just signed a historic contract as a quarterback. Are all the other quarterbacks going to make the same money? Not hardly. How about all the other players on Newton's team; are they going to make the same money? No. Now look at a labor union. A labor contract guarantees all
  22. I don't care if people have agents to represent or negotiate for them. That's not my point at all. My point is union membership has declined because people view they aren't needed anymore because of the labor laws that exist today. The relationship between labor and management has changed and labor laws do have a lot to do with that. What better ways than laws are there to keep illegal immigrants from gaining employment in the US pubby? I'm not the only person in this country who feels illegals should be forced out. What do you think is the approach that should be taken to handle il
  23. Science would say Jenner is still biologically a male.
  24. Typical leftist rant that a working man cannot earn a decent wage without a union. Face the facts pubby, unions have lost their popularity because they really aren't needed anymore. As far as criminal prosecution for hiring illegals, I am definitely for it. Take away the incentives for illegals to come here and they won't. If they do, then make it damn near impossible for them to get jobs so they'll go back. They're a drain on the economy. The only reason you want them, is so they will become future Democrats.
  25. Below is the current penalties for employing illegals. It is of my opinion the penalties are not harsh enough. I think the offense first should be a criminal offense, not civil. Second, the first offense should be $10,000 and/or 5 years imprisonment for each illegal caught in a person or company's employ. Third, the immigration laws need to be actively enforced and violators prosecuted. 8 U.S. Code § 1324a - Unlawful employment of aliens(4) Cease and desist order with civil money penalty for hiring, recruiting, and referral violations With respect to a violation of subsection (a)(1)(A) o
