A lot of us don't hire someone to do what we can do for ourselves. That's is a result of being conservative with your money. You're right, you can't eat money, but you have to have money to purchase food at the grocery store.

I wasn't grading you, just making a correction. It's not the first time I have seen someone mistakenly state Lee graduated top of his class, nor is it the first time I have seen someone mistakenly state he was the only person in his class to graduate without demerits. It was Charles Mason who graduated the top of Lee's class. Mason resigned from the Army a year or two after graduation. He later went on to become Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in Iowa.

I take it you oppose the movements to have the statues honoring him removed.

Everybody should live like they did 500 years ago then, right? Grow and raise your own food, or trade something of value for it, right?

Lee graduated second in his class at West Point. Four of his classmates also graduated with him without having received a single demerit. His son graduated first in his class.

Every once in a great while you show signs of real intelligence. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of them.

They seem to think it's quite alright for the extreme left groups i.e. BLM and Antifa to use violence and to shout crap calling for the death of cops and attempting to shut down the rights of others; especially when it comes to free speech. They fail to see to condemn the actions of BLM and Antifa by claiming the violence they commit is justified and necessary.

I condemn both those groups and I condemn BLM and Altifa. They are all hate groups and they all use violence and infringe upon the rights of others.

I'm not defending any of the organizations. I can't stand any of them. I do though believe in the First Amendment. I may not like what a group or a person says, but the Constitution gives them the right to say it. Not only do I find the KKK and neo-nazis disgusting, but I also feel the same way about BLM and Antifa. Those two organizations are no better than the neo-nazis and KKK, as they to choose to use violence.

So it's ok in your mind for Antifa to incite violence against any group they disagree with.

Every time I see news video of Antifa conducting counter-protest demonstrations, I ask myself, "Why do many of these people show up wearing masks over their faces and helmets? Why are those wearing those items carrying shields and bats or sticks?" It appears to me they show up wearing and carrying those items with the intent to get violent. That's what fascists do.

I hope her surgery is successful and she has a speedy recovery.

I made a solar filter out of a DVD. I found out how on youtube. I am going to buy one though as it will block out more of the light for a better pic during the partial eclipse.

I thought Paulding schools were delaying release by an hour today. Students may be looking at the eclipse as a good day to skip.

I really liked the Martin-Lewis movies. His movies after Dean Martin were pretty funny as well.

As the OP of this topic, you can rest assured I know what my point is and I have proven my point. I gave you an example of one man now attempting to start a movement to remove Washington from a park. All it takes is for one person to start a movement for others to jump on his bandwagon. I will watch this to see how it plays out.
