  1. Actually my brain works quite well. I think you and some others here on the left have an issue with comprehending what is being written. Take into consideration how so many on the left keep stating that more stringent gun control laws will make significant reductions in gun violence. Now look at Chicago, a city with the most stringent gun control laws in the nation and the city that has 600 murders mostly committed with handguns, and more than 2,000 people having been shot. Chicago proves the point that more stringent gun control laws will not produce the results the left claims it will.
  2. Instead of throwing insults, why don't you present some facts in an attempt to dispute what I said. Tell us why Chicago there are so many blacks killing blacks in Chicago with guns when they have the strictest gun laws in the country.
  3. Here's the thing the left does not want to admit because they are so concerned about remaining politically correct so that they don't "offend" their base; the black impoverished urban communities have been taken over by a culture of violence. When it comes to black lives, they keep their focus on a false narrative that cops are killing blacks simply because they are black. Conservatives keep pointing out that far more black lives are murdered every year by other blacks. Also, more white males are killed by police officers each year than black males are. It's not just the left wants to b
  4. Culture is a social behavior found in human societies to include the work place. In this case of gun violence in American cities where there are strict gun control laws i.e. Chicago, you can say it's the culture of those communities where the shootings take place. Chicago has the highest murder rate in the country with 593 so far this year (source). 3,200 people have been shot so far this year in Chicago. Chicago has the most strictest gun control laws in the country. Georgia grants concealed carry permits to law abiding citizens and it's gun control laws are not anywhere near as restr
  5. For the same reason gun control does not work in Chicago, DC and other cities that have implemented it - culture.
  6. It sounds to me as if the Air Force may not have entered his conviction into NCIC.
  7. The judge is a Senior Judge Advocate assigned to the military tribunals, but he is still a judge in the military and therefor does have jurisdiction over other US military members, as well as authority of trying war criminals who are not US citizens. What the judge did with the general was within his authority under the UCMJ. Here's another aspect for you to take into consideration. If a civilian attorney is in a military courtroom, that attorney is obligated to follow the procedures under the UCMJ, and accepts that when taking on a case in a military court. A military judge can charge tha
  8. You can think it a diversion all you want, but I was taking a point from the article you quoted and explaining it had no relevance to the story itself. The reporter was obviously attempting to portray the judge was not within his authority to sentence someone who he did not outrank. Perhaps you should have done a little better just quoting the aspects from the article that just stuck to the narrative you were wishing to convey. The immigrant, although here legally on a visa is not a US citizen and the government can revoke his visa at any time. Because he is not a US citizen and it has
  9. "Baker’s sentence Wednesday was first reported by Carol Rosenberg of the Miami Herald, the only reporter actually at Guantanamo and who saw the hearing. He outranks the judge who sentenced him, Air Force Colonel Vance Spath." I just thought I would clarify this. It doesn't matter the General had a higher rank than the judge. While sitting on the bench, the judge automatically has authority over everyone in that courtroom. Another example, but this time I'll use Military Police. An MP pulls over a vehicle for speeding on post and it's driven by a General and the MP is a Private. During
  10. You really have no room to complain do you?
  11. Hard to believe he's a middle-aged adult.
  12. OMG I can't believe how much effort some people on this site are using to try to find some way to implicate this administration into that deal. Just like they continue to implicate there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russians to influence the election. They continue to demonstrate how divisive they are. Next thing you know, they will start calling conservatives "racists" because they didn't vote for Obama. Oh wait, they have already done that. My bad.
  13. I understand sales quite well and I also know there is no law against name-dropping. What you're trying to do is implicate wrong-doing on the part of this administration when it had absolutely nothing to do with the deal between PREPA and Whitefish. So what if the CEO of Whitefish dropped the name of the Secretary of Interior a few times in his negotiations with PREPA's director. Not against the law and no way you can blame the secretary. Bottom line is this, the administration had absolutely no involvement in the deal and it just burns your ass that there is none. You keep trying though.
  14. You've made a very misleading statement, "good old Ryan, on whose desk the deals would land..." The deal between PREPA and Whitefish needed no approval from the Department of Interior or any other federal agency as you insinuate. Once again, you intentionally attempt to misinform people in an arrogant attempt to show some type of illegal activity in the Trump administration on this matter. You're pathetic.
  15. According to the information from the article he linked, the deal was done by the head of PREPA. Where he comes up it was Trump or his administration is desperate speculation.
  16. I've been to two different DQs in my area and ate a few times. I was disappointed each time. Now when I do go to a DQ, it's to get a Blizzard. DQ has been serving breakfast for awhile now. A friend of mine stops at one occasionally to get breakfast biscuit. He says they're pretty good, but he will eat anything.
  17. Nancy Pelosi wants the contract terminated. This is a deal between Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority and Whitefish. PREPA is owned by the Puerto Rican government. She thinks the feds should have the authority to interfere? Another example on how the Dems should have complete control over everything. COWA deliberately attempted to mislead everyone with this topic.
  18. Once again you display your hypocrisy. You quite often blast MrsHoward for using what you often refer to as right-wing extremist sites/blogs; yet here you use a left-wing extremist site/blog. In your little article, is a guy claiming that is what a professor had said about Trump. How do you know he's telling the truth?
  19. I haven't seen so many people attempt to make an issue over one that doesn't exist. You are correct, but people like CC refuse to see it that way because of their hate.
  20. Please provide a link proving your statement he lied about contacting Gold Star Families. As far as tax reform goes, he has to work with Congress as they have to write and pass the legislation. I'm sure there is a lot of negotiating going on between the WH and Congress. I don't think he lacks emotion at all. As I stated earlier, it's tough to talk to someone who lost a loved one. What words can you actually say that brings them comfort for their loss?
