  1. I'm not going to look at your links—I just want to know how you define "self-sufficiency" or how you expect people to get rich without someone else's money or labor. Any job you have, you're getting paid. That's the company's money, and before it, the customers' or investors' money. If you work hard—getting an education to get a high-paying job, working hard at your job to stay there or move to better positions, and investing your time and money wisely—you can get rich. You can also get rich if you start and maintain your own company, and that's going to require getting someone to pay
  2. Probably because people see that there has been at least one reply, which typically makes a thread a discussion. Although when you're the originator of the post, you're typically the first reply (or first several replies), so one could accuse of replying to your own threads to bump them up, or to make people think someone else has actually responded.
  3. What you have continually implied is not this statement, but rather, that the rich have gotten richer by preying on the poor, and that the reason the rich have a disproportionate amount of wealth is because they took advantage of the middle and lower class.
  4. Anyone going to this next month? I'll be there as I got a four-day pass, but not sure I'll go all four days.
  5. Don't know how utilizing a northern passage = taking advantage of people, but since you're implying that it's so, I don't expect any evidence to back it up. But hey, the top 1 percent of Americans have a third of the wealth, so they had to have cheated other Americans to get that wealthy, right?
  6. I'm looking to get a men's bicycle that I could ride on the Silver Comet Trail since it's a convenient place for me to get to, although I perhaps wouldn't mind a bike that could do some light mountain biking, too. I've looked at Target and I see mountain bikes and hybrid bikes—am I looking for a hybrid instead of mountain? I could be wrong, but I'd think a hybrid would be faster on a paved trail like the Silver Comet, while a mountain bike would have the climbing power if that's what I wanted to do. In addition to needing to know what kind of bike I need, I'd also like some suggestions on
