  1. I had to go by and visit Mark too. I'm hoping he is going to come and hang with us for girls night at CC's house tonight too.
  2. You guys go right ahead. I think I will stay out and laugh watch.
  3. Yea... they may want to wait until at least Sunday before trying that again.
  4. I totally missed this comment. I don't even want to think about that with this child yet, so sshhhhh! That sounds pretty cool! It will take me forever to learn how to use it, but I really expect to give it to him and he will have it all figured out in no time at all.
  5. These are some of the things that are pulling me in that direction. He would really love to be able to use it for all of those things too, and for an extra $100, it's kind of a no brainer.
  6. I have been doing some research on line. I went to the Best Buy website and found the Barnes and Nobles Color ereader. That looks great. Compared to many of the other ones, it has a LOT more memory. It runs about $250 though. I was really hoping to spend only about $150. Looks like I need to call on his Aunts and Uncles and see if they want to chip in on it with me.
  7. Working for 30 more minutes, and then I do believe I am going to go float in the pool for a little while this evening. First time of the year!
  8. Nope. Think I will just swim in the 'hood pool tomorrow afternoon between working and playing!!
  9. I know, but when I am at my day job from 7am -4pm, 6 days a week and still have to get dinner on the table at night, plus keep the house cleaning and laundry done, it makes for a long day. My Sundays are non stop getting the grocery shopping done and the remaining laundry and cleaning done. Just can't do any more.
  10. But with the library card, it requires me to get him there. I work 6 days a week, including a lot of over time these days, and just can't get him there that often. Having the Nook or Kindle would make life much easier, and I am all about that these days.
  11. We (at my full-time day job) have dealt with Signature Moving MANY, MANY times over the past 5 yrs. I have never had a single complaint about them. Give Ron a call and see what he can do for you. PM for contact info.
  12. Exactly. Plus, my son will be taking several honor classes this upcoming year, and he has a summer reading list. He is going to be making a trip to Myrtle Beach to visit my Mom, and I think I am going to get this for him before he goes. That way, we can download his summer reading list and he can read them on his trip.
  13. Ooooh!! I would love a cinnamon swirl right now.
  14. What kind of job? Geez.... I go 5 days without talking to you, and now I am lost.
  15. That is not a bad price at all. I think I would rather just pay for a new one than get a refurbished one. I have never had much luck with refurbished things, and that is not that much of a difference. Thank you. He may be going to Myrtle Beach in a few weeks, so I may get it for him early so he can take it along on the trip there. His birthday is the end of July.
  16. How much do they run and where did you get it from? My son doesn't read 4 per week, but the ones he gets are huge, and he reads at least one a week these days. I don't want to keep going out and buying them either. Plus, he loves his electronics, and I think this would be perfect for him.
  17. My son will be 12 next month. I am thinking about getting him a Kindle for his birthday. He is becoming a big reader, and is flying through his books. I know there are many books that can be downloaded for free onto a Kindle. Is the Kindle the only thing out there, or is there something else more appropriate and a little less expensive for a child his age?
  18. Morning Laurie. It is a beautiful day. I am going to get some things done here at the house, and pack for our trip tomorrow. Then the rest of the day will be spent getting my tan on at the pool.
  19. We are having a cookout in Hiram, and showing an outdoor movie. It's not a "public" thing, but we have a bunch of people coming. You are more than welcome to come and bring your family. Every one is bringing a dish and we are grilling hotdogs, and everyone is bringing whatever they want to drink. The house is off of Poole Rd. in Hiram. It's a huge yard. We will set up the movie screen (9'x16') and start that part about 9pm. I am planning on being down there about 5. Many of the people are going to start coming about 3.
  20. Come to Hiram tonight and watch a movie on the big screen with us. Cook-out and then movie!
  21. She has a point. I wouldn't be leaving her behind. Ooops. My last reply was meant for this post.
