My mistake. I assumed this thread was about Krauthammer's weekly column, and I posted a helpful link for those who may want to address the actual topic. All apologies for my misguided attempt to discuss the subject of this thread.

In order to compromise, their must be room for debate. Krauthmmer's point is that pejorative labels that marginalize the opposition are being used to silence and end this debate.

Homosexuals do not hold monolithic groupthink views. Many prominent gay activists, including the intellectual father of gay marriage, have denounced Mozilla's decision as totalitarian and totally counterproductive. Marginalizing supporters of traditional marriage really does not help their cause. Who's next ? ? ? Apparently folks that hold personal yet unpopular political views.

I can not click through but I will share my thoughts. It is one thing to have an opinion on these types of things. Just like it is ok for people to hate people of different races or cultures. When you send the check it becomes an act against gay people. Same as burning crosses on lawns it becomes an act. One is illegal of course. The perception of those that support same sex marriage see it as an act against gays. Soooo, giving money to the Baptist church or Catholic church is an act against gay people? Is giving money to Planned Parenthood an act against babies

The funny thing is... I started a topic on this exact issue at your place a couple of months ago. I recall there were very different views among the responses, it was a very interesting debate.
