Should air show have been on Moms Day weekend?
weezie replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm confused as to why everyone thinks the county government would be picking up the bill for the airshow. Salute America is a 501©3, not a government entity. Why would the BOC or AA publish a financial report for the event? -
Are Anti Airport Commissioners withdrawing Support for Airshow?

My pleasure. Not to disregard anyone's feelings, but I'm a big fan of the air show. I can't wait for the show to make a profit and be able to further benefit our county. I'll be there both days. -

I think there's a need to clarify the ticket pricing. There are three different types of tickets.General Admission, Flight Deck, and Presidents Club. General admission tickets are good for one full day of family fun and excitement. For Saturday this will include the night aerial demonstration and fireworks display. General admission tickets grant access to open seating and viewing areas, static aircraft displays, musical entertainment, aircraft business expo, flight simulators and a chance to meet and chat with the performers.General Admission tickets are valid for 1 day only. We are considering sending our 7th grade son to that session as well. I wish I new more about it. Can you share some of what you've learned? Thanks -
I know we would all like to have more delivery options, but from a business standpoint, you have to think long and hard about how far you are willing to go. Will the quality of your food suffer after the trip? Will your drivers make enough to be able to attract quality, service minded people without dipping too far into your bottom line?

Ragsdale Heating & Air. They also have a new program that they will give a portion of their earnings to your child's PTA. Just give them your school's name.

Spades is my all time favorite, but as a family of three, it's too complicated. We play a lot of Phase 10 and have started playing Rummy Kube (sp?).

We do our big dinner Christmas Eve, prime rib with all the fixings. Christmas breakfast usually turns into brunch because we don't get up as early as we used to. We've been doing personalized omelets for the last few years. It's a lot of work, but I have great help.

Did you know that you can get stamps from some ATMs? I stopped by the Wachovia across from the Crossroads Kroger to grab some quick cash and one of the options was to buy stamps. I don't know if all Wachovias have it or not but I thought it was pretty cool.

Yes, married 13 years this October, together for 20. I like that he can finish my sentences before I even start them. Such a time saver!

The PTA at Abney is always looking for volunteers to man the front desk. It's like a greeter posision, asking people to sign in and giving directions. There's often some kind of project to do and she can sit the whole time. PM me for more info.

I LOVE Google calendar! We use it at work to keep everything in order. Since we don't work on the same day, it's especially great because you can access it from any computer. There's no need to create a new email address. You do have to invite others to see your calendar. It's really easy.

Absolutely! I did it Summer 2008 with my son. Took a week and a half to get to Colorado (stopping at some great places along the way) to drop off my MIL and pick up my husband who flew in to Denver. We then traveled on to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, watched 4th of July fireworks at Mount Rushmore and finally wandered home. We had some trials, flat tires, broken refridgerator door, etc. It was all totally manageable with our cell phones. When we weren't at the National parks, we stayed at KOAs and state parks. I wouldn't trade that time for anything. My son was 7 at the t

I wouldn't. You might want to check in with the person in charge of Reflections, your school might do things differently than we do.

Usually the winning entries moving on to the county level are the only ones wrapped, but I'm sure the Reflections coordinator would be happy to have one ready to go. I take our winning entries to The Art Shop. Art Shop of Dallas 529 Hardee St, Dallas, GA - (770) 445-9292

Hank the Cow Dog is a great series as well. I hope you can find something that appeals to her and counts.

Pandora rocks! I have very extreme music mood swings and it's great to have different stations for each mood.
