No worries, I've just never heard anyone refer to waitressing as anything other than Customer Service. I'm aware it falls under the Hospitality industry but waitressing, in my opinion, is performing the function of Customer Service within that industry. At any rate, my main point was that Managers/Owners seem genuinely surprised when someone comes to them to praise a member of their staff, and i was just wondering if complimenting instead of complaining is really that far out of the norm now?
-
Then what service would you refer to it as? I've also worked as management in retail and as a customer service rep for an insurance company. Do those qualify?

I don't work in customer service now but I did, as a waitress, while I was in school. I didn't do it for a long time but it really helped me see service jobs from a different point of view. My question is this: if you would normally complain to the manager for poor service, do you also compliment the service to management if it's exceptional. I'm not referring to mediocre service but the ones who were on really on top of their game while they were assisting you, and really went out of their way to make sure than your experience in their establishiment was a good one. While we do complain if

I have it on my iPad, my Android Phone and my iPod touch and I love it! To be honest, I never even pick up my Kindle anymore because I have my entire library at my fingertips on other, more functional devices. It's also been great to be able to use the app when I'm reading in bed at night because with my Kindle I have to worry about finding my booklight or keeping my husband up with a lamp but the iPod touch and iPad both,of course, have backlights.

My hubby and I had dinner there tonight and the food was fantastic! And oh my, don't even get me started on the orange cream shake. Yummy!!!

A very good friend of mine had the test done and her results were positive. She has since had a full hysterectomy and is scheduled for a double mastectomy. All of her older female relatives (aunts, grandmothers, etc) have had some very aggressive form of female cancer (ovarian, breast, etc) and have ultimately died from their diseases. She felt very strongly about doing whatever she could to prevent getting it herself. I don't know that I would have been brave enough to make the decisions she did for preventative measures, but I support her decision and will do everything in my power to help

Ugh, I missed it! Maybe I can set it up for the DVR for the next airing. That heifer sounds like the very definition of a psychopath. Maybe she used to be my stepmother many, many moons ago?!?!

When you get addicted, you can help me design a 12 step program to return us to productive adults P.S. Thanks!!
-
That pretty much defines my addiction. My husband asked me tonight if I was aware our T.V. had other channels. Ummm not as far as I'm concerned right now
-
Or is it just me? I've suddenly become addicted to "I almost got away with it", "48 Hours on ID", "Deadly Women" and pretty much any of their other murder mysteries. My mom and I were just having this conversation and it just made me wonder if anyone else needs a 12 step program for these shows or if we've somehow been brainwashed?

Voted. If you have firefox, you can vote once in normal browsing, go into "private browsing" vote again, go back out of "private browsing" and back in and it will let you vote again. Umm.. I hope that made sense You can do that as many times as you have patience for lol

What an awesome kid! I wonder if he knows just what a HUGE difference this will make to someone. Congrats on having such a considerate, caring and selfless child! Good job, Momma!

"them are" really?? Need a banjo? "waRter" instead of water "Monday (or any day) week" can't you just say "a week from Monday"? Maybe I need a translator on this one but that is how I understand the phrase. "Those is..." "Tomorrow" spelled incorrectly as "tomarrow" or "tommorow"

MrsBHe only survived because I was pushing out a big-headed watermelon and couldn't summon enough extra energy to give him the level of ass-whooping he deserved. I got him back though...no worries

Wow...that sounds a LOT like my ex-husband. When I was in labor with our son, he had the nerve to tell me he knew more about labor than I did. He only lived through that one because he was out of reach when he said it. I used to tell him all the time that if I could buy him for what he's worth and sell him for what he thought he was worth, we could wipe out the deficit.

My car was stuck at the end of our driveway because the small incline was just too much on the ice and I refused to spin my tires and set my car on fire....I don't want to make national news. Anywhooo, I just went out to shovel so I could get my car in the garage. I left briefly to find a push broom to get the slushier stuff off of the edges and when I stepped back outside I could hear shoveling. I looked up to find that my neighbor had started at the oppsoite end of my driveway and we worked until we met in the middle. We have such good neighbors They're like a second set of parent

Really? Wow. Maybe if you ever needed to it provide Christmas for your children, who would otherwise receive nothing, you could see the value of this program. And this might come as a surprise but a good portion of these children choose to forgo getting gifts for themselves and instead choose to spend the money they are given through this program to get their siblings presents or to get warm winter clothes for themselves. Yeah, I guess I can see your point. What could possibly be fantastic about that?

I had bcc on my forearm last year and did not have Moh's because my insurance did not cover it. I saw Dr Vaughn and she was able to leave a relatively small scar, considering the amount she removed. She is also super-sweet and made sure she did not hurt me at all. She did tell me not to be surprised if I have another one in the same area in a few years because basal cell usually develops in the worst area of sun-damage and it's unlikely that only that part of my arm got that much sun. Good luck to you!

Very deserving teen gets punched in the face by police officer

Wow. She definitely had that coming. I love how even though both girls are physically aggressive with him, everyone standing around is yelling at him to stop being "rough" with them.
