I totally agree, judge no thing before it's time, these are hilarious, but should make us think too. What have we judged to quickly?

I am the king of search (tell all your friends). Here is what you need to know: "You've got a couple of options. As for saving the picture from your Shutterfly account, there are 2 ways to do it - one is free, the other isn't. 1) Create a Shutterfly Share Site on your account in the Share section. Post that picture into an album on your Share site, then you should be able to "save originals" or "download images" and then save the original as uploaded back to your computer. 2) Order an "Archive DVD" from Shutterfly and they'll burn the pictures to a DVD in their original states so

Ok, cool, so, it looks like Shutterfly is a good place to store you pictures, and maybe you want to use, Mozy, or DriveHQ for all of your other online backup needs. Does that sound about right?
-
Ok, I've got it now. As long as the file size of your picture is over 20 Mb, you can store it on shutterfly and pull it off with the exact same quality. They don't alter your files. The size of the file is the only thing that they monitor, and if it's too big, you can't upload it in the first place. Are pictures the only thing that you want to store?

We're having roast (mmmmmm....... I can smell it cooking now - literally, in the crock pot)...... and some other stuff that goes with roast, don't know, don't care what it is....... mmmmmmmmm roast.

It's not a stupid question, because the answer is actually yes, sort of. But shutterfly is only intended to store photos and other similar media. the HQ in Drive HQ stands for Head Quarters (Website = www.drivehq.com ). It's just their way of saying, "we want to be your source for all of your storage needs." You just want a place to store the non-photo portion of what's on your Hard Drive (HD or HDD for Hard Disk Drive), and DriveHQ is one of those options, just as Carbonite and Mozy are others. And since you mentioned it, I did some research, and Mozy is a good option for up to 2GB of free

I know it's probably a lost cause, but just curious?

Do you want a flat panel or is a CRT ok? -
I haven't used that particular backup site, but online backup is a good idea. Leo Laporte, "The Tech Guy" (Google him) endorses Carbonite, but there are also some free limited options like DriveHQ. Anything off-site is a good idea if you have any part of your livelihood in the same location that the computer is most of the time. Case in point: the floods that we had recently. If the computer and the backups all ended up underwater, what good are the backups? What you should and should not backup really depends on your level of paranoia. It would be easier for someone to break into your home an

Excel would work, but a database in Access would probably be more in line with what you're looking for.
