  1. I have seen lots of new Commerce Members on here lately. Thought I would start a thread for us!

    Hi! I'm new! :yahoo:

    Jeanette@ Salon Rouge

    Hairazor...AKA Tiger Mama

Anyone going to the meet and greet? I skeered...I only know Friendly Geek!

My name is Christi. My husband's name is Eric.

We own Beam's Upholstery in Acworth

    Beam's Upholstery....formerly known as queenpeach

We would go to the meet & greet, but he's been working late every night this week, and we have to shopping for a new refrigerator. Our extra in the garage crashed while we were camping over the weekend, and we need a replacement ASAP because all of our extra stuff is cramping in the upstairs fridge.

We'll catch the next one. :D

  2. My youngest and I both got burned while we were in Orlando in April. Our saving grace was white vinegar mixed with water in a spritzer bottle. Every time it started to get itchy, the hubby would spray us down and it would stop within a few minutes.

We also used some Aloe AfterSun Spray that we bought at Wal-Mart - it worked okay, too, but the vinegar got rid of the itchiness.

Good luck with it, and I hope that you find something that works for you. Don't worry, though, it will be over in a few days.

  3. You didn't hijack...Feel free to VENT that is what this thread is about.

    Thank you.

I've got writing their financial department a letter on my list of things to do this week, but that's not going to do a bit of good with this doctor that is threatening me with the $54 that I owe for an "After Hours Fee" for going to an emergency room.

The last time I checked, though, that is what the ER is for. I dind't realize that I was inconveniencing him by making him DO HIS JOB. Guess I'll end up paying it just to save face because I don't want my credit tarnished by a frivolous $54 charge from some moron with a medical degree. He obviously needs the money to make his Mercedes payment more than I need it to feed my kids anyways.

  4. Mine is from Oct of last year when my daughter broke her wrist. The Dr gets a copy of the EOB..They had 3 charges on it. One was not approved. I went to a Hosp that participates with Tricare Prime. I don't understand why it is so hard for them to read an EOB that says Patient responsibility ZERO. They need to take it up with Tricare instead of sending me letters with Attorney's names on it. Does nothing but tick me off and then they have the nerve to ask me for my DH's SSN..

The sad part is he didn't even set her wrist right so the Orthopedic DR had to redo it @@

Yes, they did that with one of my son's claims. I found that out when Tricare said they never received a claim..And the doctors office told me Tricare didn't pay it

Funny thing came in the mail today - a letter from a law office stating that I still owe a certain doctor $54. Seems this particular doctor decided to charge me an "After Hours Fee" for using the emergency room. I talked to the hospital, who told me that the doctor shouldn't have charged me for that, along with the insurance company that stated that I wasn't responsible for it. Funny how it's my credit that is being affected by them telling me not to pay it because they'd take care of it.

That's not even the worst part....it seems a bill from 1999 is coming back to bite me in the behind although they processed the claim with my then-insurance (BCBS) and I was only supposed to pay a $50 copay for ER. Seems that they want another couple hundred dollars now, and they've decided to take my most recent payment from last July for an accident with my toe ($100 copay for ER) and apply it to that old account - and now they want to tell me that I haven't paid the other bill.

The next time I'm hurt, sick or dying (don't care how bad it is) - I'm going to Tanner. I will never step foot inside of another Wellstar hospital - especially here in Paulding.

Sorry for the hi-jack, but it is quite obvious that we are not the only people on here that are having issues with the health system out here.

  5. Why do Doctors keep sending you bills when the EOB says you are responsible for ZERO ZIP? Does this happen to anyone else?

Seems like lately the only time I have this problem is when I take my kids to Paulding Hosp. And it's not the Hosp sending me bills but the Doctors @@

Paulding has some serious billing issues. We are dealing with ER bills from two months ago, because until the hospital sends the claim into the insurance, the doctor is considered "out of network" and you are responsible for a larger portion of the bill. Once the claim is submitted to the insurance by the hospital, though, your insurance is supposed to re-file the claim and pay the different that they billed you for as "out of network".

Check with your insurance company to be sure that the claim has been filed, though, because my husband spent four days in the hospital in March, and Paulding still hasn't sent the claim to my insurance company. We've received all of the doctors bills - radiology, pathology, surgeon, etc. - but aren't paying anything until the hospital bill is submitted so that I can keep up with the deductible and out-of-pocket expenses.

Sorry you are having such issues, but please know that you are not the only one.

  6. Last night Pubby hosted our Tiger den at the paulding.com office to how he makes the news videos for Friday, and gave each of the boys a chance to record their own news story.

The boys had so much fun, and we just wanted to say Thank You again!

  7. I never received a first notice, but I used the calculator online to see what we should be getting. Hubby's last two are -08- so we should be getting it in the bank tomorrow. I've been checking all week to see if it goes in early, but no luck. :0(

  8. We bought season passes for the four of us last year, and only managed to go once - I believe it was July 3rd, the same day as that beating incident.

Seeing as how my youngest child was almost ran over that day by uncontrollable teenagers, we haven't been back. It is way too dangerous, and there are far too many thugs there.

Six Flags actually took the time to process and mail us season passes for this year hoping that we'd renew online, but I am planning on writing them a letter and letting them know that we will not be returning, and send them their passes back.

I could really use a quote. My yard is looking like a jungle lately. When are you available for a quote?

  10. I don't think that she, her parents, nor her manager/marketing folks thought this one through very well.

Overall I don't think the pictures were pornographic in the least. As others have pointed out, I've seen more on MySpace, You-Tube, and at Prom-time.

BUT... I think it was too much for a 15 year old, even a very rich, very famous teenager. I don't know that the hub-bub matches the actual situation, but it never does anymore.

To me, it's not the picture in itself that makes it distasteful - it's the look on her face, the way her hair is mussed, and her makeup seems smeared - like she's just climbed out of bed after a wild night of romping in the sack.... please tell me I'm not the only that sees that hair and make up as being a big enough reason to worry about the reaction that picture will get.

PS: I'm glad I don't have any daughters.

  11. Do they sell in small quantities or do you have to buy in bulk? It's just my son and I so I sometimes buy meats and split them in half, but not usually more than that. Also... do they have a good variety? The store doesn't look very big.... just wondering myself! :)

I went in one night last week, and everybody in my house wanted a different kind of meat that night. They split stuff up in to single packs without any problem at all - two pieces of filet mignon, one new york strip (even cut it down to half the thickness for my oldest son) and a single chicken breast.

Pick up a watermelon, too!!! They're delicious.

  12. My husband has decided to find someone to come and do the first overhaul of our yard for the year and we are looking for quotes.....

I'm sure that he would argue this one with me, though, because I gripe at him if he cuts the yard without a shirt on...
