Sportsmanship, character, and teamwork was my point. I am not the one who said scholarships were the main goal Also, if Kell were to lose to Pope and N. Paulding and East won out they would have ONE loss and Kell two...ALSo, if Pope beat kell, and Hiram, or east beat Pope and won out then you would have a three way tie in which you had no true winner! If North won out and East loss one more, they would win the sub region...SO, there is a long way to go.

North can hang with hiram if they score early and put the pressure on! If they fall behind, then it will be tough

East vs Sprayberry- East must not have a let down North vs. Hiram- Someone bounces back, and someone gets their 2nd region loss PC vs. Villa Rica- GOOD LUCK PC!! As a whole both teams, fans, etc were classy! Always an exception, but East is a great school with great fans!! Emotions always run high in rival games, but to say there was no class by East is a joke!!! I think the atmosphere and packed house was awesome, and most everyone was well behaved. I hope North fans can move on, and I do wish you guys all the best this year! GO RAIDERS!!

East can win the region....Will be hard but the season has a long way to go. No, I dont think the ultimate goal is to get kids football scholarships. Its to teach the TEAM concept of football and sportsmanship. I'd hate to know a coach only cared about getting a select few into college. High school sports is about making young men and teaching them lessons. No one has ever won a "cup" because this is the first time all 5 schools will play. I will tell you why. We dont take a knee for our player as well. When I played years ago we never heard of such. Kinda a new thing. Doesnt mean any disrespect AT ALL... Very proud of the coverage and of the quality of BOTH schools...It is fun to poke at your rivals, but in the end the kids cheer, play, and perform at halftime. I love the Raiders, but after all the ribbing and teasing, it is time to realize these two programs are heading in the right direction. GREAT SPIRIT ON BOTH SIDES!!!

I look forward to seeing how North bounces back with Hiram...It should be a great game. I liked the spread offense as well. North's defense is still inexperienced and that showed last night. They were unable to stop East, and that put pressure on North's offense to just pass. When that happens the spread wont work...The first quarter when you could run it, it kept our defense on its toes....Like I said in a couple of years, especially with the defense improving, you guys should be there. East is just more mature, more experienced in game play and coaching, and ready fo it this year.

Didnt even take you 12 hours to get in your jabs....Really!?!? Good Lord! My advice to you is stop starting smack talk threads if all you can do is take jabs when you get beat. Both schools have classy programs with great fans. East could have tacked on even more points, but chose not to do so....BTW...it wasnt East that got the first three personal fouls in the first quarter! Just take the high road when you lose or win...It is a game...Have fun being proud and be a good sport when you lose.

Ksu has about 3,600 resident students with new dorms being built as we speak. It will take awhile I agree, but KSU has a base of fans who have wanted football a long time

true about the atlantic sun...I do think they will go FCS first. I disagree about the fan base. Ga state did have 30,000 game.... and about 11,000 last week when the new wore off...KSU has deep pockets and I think the fan base they have is a LOT more football minded than those at GSU...With 45,000 alumni and a an enrollment of 22,500 or so a year, it wont be long before the fan base is large enough to support KSU at any level...But time will tell and either way I hope it will be great for the university and its other athletic programs...hope so anyway!

KSU will not play DII football. They have the 20,000 students and I can almost assure you they will play FCS. Having all other sports at Div I, I believe the long term goal is to play on that level. I have little doubt KSU will outdraw Ga State from day one. Different types of students and a different atmosphere. You are correct that it will take years to generate millions, but trips to FBS schools (yes you are gonna get killed) will generate millions in revenue. You will see them take their lumps, but it is much better than no football at all.

I think it will be a great thing. It will pump millions into the university that will help other sports and the general fund with revenue. A strong football program helps programs survive and thrive. I cant wait.

Well....Where was I laughing?? I made the simple point that this poll wouldnt be accurate of the final vote, and in November I think I will be right. If not, then I guess I am wrong.
