My wife and I have an understanding. If we have any guest that is staying more than two nights, either I or they will be at a hotel. I am ok either way, me or them. (but I am in hotels a lot, so I'm sure that is why I don't care if I stay in one) The wife understands and is ok with it. This rule does not apply to our kids or grandkids.

Hotels are great places. Free breakfast also.
