  1. Nah, you may swing that way, but I'm strictly a two woman man. (one real, one fantasy)
  2. I'm afraid that I could explain this to you all day and you would never understand.
  3. Try studying the old west instead of watching movies, you will learn that shootings in the back and shooting unarmed men was very very common. Why? It's like this, if someone in those days threatened to kill you, you were, in general, allowed to presume that the man meant what he said and therefore you could kill him before he killed you. There would be a trial, but most of the time it was decided that that person acted in self defense, even if they shot the other person while they were unarmed and from behind. Only a moron would wait until the person who threatened to kill you went and ar
  4. I am fairly sure that if a car is heading at you, you try and step out of the way. Here's the deal. If they shoot at you and you duck and they are running at you and you move out of where you are, to keep from getting shot, then the rounds that you fire at the shooter may not come from the front. Why? Because you are trying not to get killed yourself. This is another case of not letting the people who are in charge do their jobs and then we will know how it all plays out. Ohhhhh, I forgot, if they say it was a "good shoot", then it was a rigged verdict.
  5. Just a few quick stories that you probably never heard in the mainstream media. Police say a man likely saved the lives of several people when he shot and killed a gunman inside a West Philadelphia barbershop. http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Man-Shot-in-the-Chest-Inside-West-Philly-Barbershop-297176271.html Customer kills gunman during Jacksonville robbery attempt http://jacksonville.com/news/crime/2012-08-28/story/customer-kills-gunman-during-jacksonville-robbery-attempt Customer shoots, kills gunman at Orrville Dollar General http://www.selmatimesjou
  6. Look, it is a shame when a young person like this dies. It is a shame that they have gone down the wrong path and won't have a chance to get on the right path. All of that is nothing but a doggone shame. But the facts of life are this, for each and everyone one of us, you can do anything you want, but there are consequences to every decision and action we make, some of which are major and negative. And to blame others for the consequences of our decisions and actions is another wrong.
  7. I don't know how it works today, but back in the olden days, some companies did pay fees to get "X" amount of shelf space, but normally they paid to get end cap spaces. That is why you always see Coke, Pepsi and Little Debbie on end caps. I have set many a grocery store and quite a few drug stores and I saw more fees paid for shelf space in the drug store business than in the grocery store business. For example, Johnson & Johnson paid to get 8' to 12' vertical for their Band Aid products.
  8. I am a climate denier. I deny that there is climate. So take that weather!
  9. I was in there last night. As an old grocery man myself, I have been through my share of resets, but dang, who is in charge of this one? The Three Stooges? I was needing some dried fruit, they had moved it. I looked everywhere it made sense for dried fruit to be, nothing. I asked an employee, "Where did they move the dried fruit?" Employee: "What kind of dried fruit?" Me: "The kind that was normal fruit, but went though the drying out process." Pointing to the regular fruit. "Like that, only dried and in boxes and packages." Employee: "Ohhh, that kind of dried fruit." Not making fu
  10. I don't have chickens, although I grew up with them, but I do have a chicken song. Warning: One curse word, the F one
  11. Just for the record, his color has nothing to do with my comments, it has to do with actions and consequences.
  12. One thing is a certainty, he will commit no more criminal acts. I count that as a win for society. It is a shame that instead of surrendering to LE, he chose to steal a car and roll the dice on living or dying, oooops, it came up snake eyes. You lose, society wins.
  13. A stolen two ton vehicle at that. The poor innocent child had been arrested for assault on LE in the past. "According to court records, 23-year-old Nicholas Thomas was convicted in 2014 of aggravated assault on a peace officer and attempting to elude capture. On March 21, 2013, a Kennesaw State University police officer attempted to pull over Thomas for speeding; Thomas accelerated and drove at the officer."
  14. Wouldn't it be great if "you people" posted as many threads on the crimes that happen...heck, let's keep it to a manageable level and just say, in the county. We could include metro Atlanta, but between Fulton and DeKalb, we would break the internet.
  15. Saw the BoC meeting thing. Chairman Austin said that he would not release the names of these people, even if he had them, due to the court case against the man arrested. This was, per Mr Austin, the recommendation of the DA. A couple of thoughts, the defense for this man could subpoena these records to use in the defence of their client, that if unless the DA has to just turn them over as part of discovery. (I'm not a lawyer, but I watched Perry Mason) I sorta understand Mr Austin's point, however it does sorta remind me of Nixon and the tapes. Ohhhh, a lot of cute ladies in this on
  16. Try not to confuse them. Cops bad, criminals good.
  17. And so if begans. Strange, they always said the right wingers would destroy the US, it turns out that it is the fruits and nuts. (no, not a reference to gay people)
  18. What?? No editorial by Mrnn?? We want Mrnn! (repeat chant) (too lazy to type it over and over)
  19. Nope. I still have faith in all those scientists who said we were going to have another ice age. Ohhhhh, and the ones that said eggs were good, then bad, then good, then bad and I think....good again.
