  1. For fried chicken around here I go with Bo's or Publix.
  2. We had thanksgiving dinner again tonight. My wife made extra sides and froze them and we bought a couple of turkey's when they were .59 per lb. I cooked the turkey it came out a little dry because I upped the temp due to waiting to long to put it in. I also maked fried bread to go along with our sides. The gravy made up for the breast being a little dry!

  8. That sounds great! I would be adding Pico de Gallo to this as I eat! Thanks! And if you remember you met me, and I am not a little guy. SO, drop that to about 4-5 servings. LOL To bad pig fat is not good for us. It makes everything taste better!
  9. I have seen those bean mixes but have never though of using one. Thanks I make an awesome redbeans, but I make it really spicy and its not the same thing. I made a pot of pepper steak and rice tonight, but it was missing the beans on the side. Almost like it's not complete without the other.
  10. I am not sure I could live with the smell and not be able to eat them for 2 days. I like Pinto beans. I really like Tex-mex style pinto beans. When I was younger I didnt care for pinto beans and never watched my mom or grandma make them. So I am kinda screwed there.
  11. I can follow a recipe, but I cant find one I really like and I am jonesin for a good pot of beans.
  12. This man was an amazing athlete! At 60 he swam from Alcatraz Island to Fisherman’s Wharf handcuffed, shackled and towing a 1,000-pound boat. At 70, handcuffed and shackled again, he towed 70 boats, carrying a total of 70 people, a mile and a half through Long Beach Harbor.

  19. Italian Beefs. My wife's mothers recipe is outstanding. I don't care for the brand of Giardiniera we have so I made some fresh Pico de Gallo for topping. Really good!
  20. Cut in half. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Put under the broiler until sugar starts to melt and bubble. Enjoy!
