  1. I would like for you to meet two bunnies in need of a loving home.

They are residing with me at the moment, as "foster" mom while waiting patiently for someone to "fall in love" and take them "home"

The little white/grey bunny is a boy, he is very sweet. His previous people dropped him off with animal control and I doubt they ever looked back. He has a club foot, a mild deformity, but this does not cause pain or problems getting around. He is very sweet.

The larger grey bunny, wow, she's a sweetie! By best guess she is an American Flop Earred bunny. She is much larger than the little boy, very sweet, she even likes to rub my sons head when he sticks himself half way into her cage. (he is only 2, so he still fits :)

Both of these bunnies have been residing at the paulding co. animal shelter until it was sooooooo cold, I just had to bring them home.

If you would like to meet one or both bunnies, please let me know.

They can be adopted together, or seperate. They DO NOT reside in the same room. ;) and I think we all know "why" :D

  3. Meet JOBO~

Jobo is a great guy! Great with kids, Great with other dogs! Did I mention how GREAT he is?

Jobo is a spaniel mix at best guess, neutered male, micro chipped, current on his shots, housebroken, and guess what, he is a Great dog!

Very friendly, just waiting for his forever family to take him home!

If you would like to meet Jobo, please visit the Paulding Co. Animal Shelter this week! The shelter will be open on Christmas Eve 12-4, in hopes that Santa brings a new adopted friend "home for the holidays"

For more information or directions, please call 770-445-1511

  4. I agree with June ~ YOU should enroll the two of you into an obedience class asap~ Even if these are "warning" bites, if he should nip someone else's child, you are opening yourself up to the legal issues!

I know many of you are going to disagree with my next statement, but it is only MY opinion.... Chow-Chows have aggressive tendencies by nature! Maybe you could contact a Chow org. for info on a trainer? Someone experienced with that particular breed. Just a thought.

    Good Luck!!

  5. This is the sweetest bunny I have met!

She is solid grey, quite large, loves to munch!

She is in foster care now, but needs a loving, responsible "forever" family!

She doesn't seem to mind my 2 year old son loving on her, sticking his head inside her cage, etc. She has been exposed to my dog, who finds her quite interesting!

Overall, seems like an excellent bunny!

If you would like to set up a time to meet her, please call 770-443-3565 & leave a message.

  6. I just thought I would share with you guys a few pics that my husband sent to me from Afghanistan!

These are a few of the local dogs adopted by our military men/women. The dogs allowed onto base have been fully vetted by the military vet on duty, given vaccs & a clean bill of health. They are quite underweight, but they are trying to fatten them up a bit.

They will be returning home with the men/women that have chosen to take them in!

I hope this makes you all warm & fuzzy on the inside, as it did me!

((as far as I know, my hubby did not choose his own Afghani pup YET! ))

  7. wow, you guys really go shopping on the WEEKENDS? ugg... good luck with that!! I finished last week, EVERYTHING came from Target! Yea!

Dont be mad..... its all wrapped too!

This I have to do early so the boys don't see what I have hiding in the closet!

I will be bringing home two beautiful bunnies from the Paulding Co. Animal Shelter today, to keep them out of the cold. They are my new fosters. If anyone is interested in meeting or in adopting one of these beautiful bunnies, please let me know.

Good luck everyone with the maddness of holiday shopping! Remember: Everyone loves scratch off lottery tickets!!!

  8. THHONEYBEAR~ I am sorry to hear of your loss. Georgia has a few ferret rescue organizations, please look....

    http://www.weaselwords.com/pages/links.asp

just scroll down to Georgia. Thank you so very much for looking for a ferret to adopt instead of purchasing from a pet store!!!

There are many out there needing responsible & loving homes!

We too had a beautiful little girl & beautiful little boy, both have passed away now. :(

**Just a note to anyone out there thinking of purchasing a ferret for their children at Christmas time: Ferrets are VERY HIGH MAINTAINCE pets. Please be responsible & educate yourself beforehand, you may find that you are surprised! Ferrets are NOT a good idea for kids as a first pet!!! (Unless parents are the primary care giver!)

    ~just my opinion~

Thanks everyone...... Have a great holiday!

  9. Meet Darwin!

    Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler Mix

Darwin is a very playful boy. He is a large dog but very sweet natured. He is good with kids & dogs. If you cant see his eyes in the photo, you really need to meet him in person, he has gorgeous eyes!! He's about 1 or 2 years old, neutered and up-to-date on shots and micro chipped. For information on adoption please call Paulding County Animal Shelter at 770-445-1511 or just go up there and MEET HIM! He would LOVE the company.

  10. Meet TOBY!

Toby is an incredibly sweet boy who loves to play.

Toby is neutered, microchipped & has a current Rabies. He is approx 3 years old. He is a mixed breed, approx 45 -50 lbs.

He loves children and other dogs, but does not do well with cats.

Toby is very loving & playful. He would love a home with a large yard to play in.

If you would like to meet Toby, he can be found in the large front yard of the Paulding Co Animal Shelter.

  11. oh you guys are great!!!! my idea of the perfect thanksgiving dinner is green bean casserole, nothing else, just lots and lots of green bean casserole......... when it is no longer possible for my mother to spend every waking minute of thanksgiving day in the kitchen, she shall hand down to me the ability to take them out to ryan's for dinner.......... ((bet you couldnt guess that i DO NOT cook!))

  12. I admit, the porch light was OFF on Saturday night, last time I checked Halloween was on the 31st!!! We had a great time on Sunday night, stuck the guys at home to hand out candy & we walked the whole neighborhood. Probaly 50 to 75 kids total came by my house... at least thats what the guys told us when we came home. I love Halloween, it's my favorite holiday!!! Boo on the people that went trick or treating on Saturday!

  13. Nanny~

I would agree with GAhorsegal 110%. I have been riding since I was 8, raised with my mothers love of horses since birth, owning a horse is NOT something to go into lightly! I would suggest many many months of riding lessons. Does your niece know what style she prefers yet? English or Western? This may make a tremendous difference in the breed of horse she needs. Just my opinion!
