  1. Yes. The Jewish history says Israel invaded Palestine under the leader Joshua.
  2. How do you know the public response was the same as the deals behind the scenes? How do you know there are not new deals? Things change. Circumstances change. Most people were against airstrikes a few weeks ago. Democrats and Republicans were against Obama on airstrikes. Now, things have changed. Nobody is right or wrong on this. We are Americans and are in this war on terror together. Put the politics down and let's do what we have to do together. The Middle East is not a simple neighborhood ever since Israel invaded Palestine. Things are complex there. Let's stop the pettiness.
  3. 1. How does anyone know we don't have Syria's permission? 2. Regime change and the complexities of Syria are two different things. 3. Doesn't everyone get tired of politics?
  4. Beware of fearmongers and those who postulate but are never held accountable for those ideas.
  5. I'm so sorry this happened to you! The bank will fix it. Don't fret!
  6. $200 a month is dirt cheap for insurance. I pay a lot more than that for just me and that is though a local school system, and then the system pays the difference. Considering what one ER visit costs, I'd say $200 a month is a steal. If your brother didn't have that coverage, he is leaving the tax payer, or the rest of us insured folks, paying for what he didn't insure. Emergency Rooms are for emergencies. I know you don't like to hear it, but pink eye is not an emergency. Yes, it is uncomfortable and it is mildly painful but that is what an Urgent Care is for and that can wait until it opens.
  7. The reason no credible news outlets are reporting this and no one has heard about it, is because it is not true. We used this in class today with the students as an example of how sourcing information with credible, non-biased sources is critical when writing papers.
  8. The reason he told you to go to Kennestone or Cobb is because Paulding is not yet a full heart center as are the other two hospitals. Had you gone to Paulding ER, your husband would have had to be transported to one of the two other hospitals. The same group of heart doctors at those hospitals are at Paulding.
  9. This is true of teachers, too, though paid far less. it is true of most professions. The medical profession is just the last one hit and the income began declining in the 1970s as it did with all incomes in America.
  10. Yes, the bracket at the end is missing. Just a typo. This is the standard Order of Operations that is taught beginning in 3rd grade and has been for a long time. I remember this being taught in the 3rd grade classroom, but my parents taught me this while I was in kindergarten using supplemental worksheets. The old Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally is the old acronym for the Order of Operations. Calculus is not taught until 11th grade and only for advanced math classes. There are always one or two each year that are in the 8th grade and will go up to their respective high schools to take calculu
  11. Here's why a single-service provider makes good sense. 1, All the companies have to bid for the contract. That means the best priced service for everyone. 2. it is cheaper on taxpayers to have fewer trash trucks on the roads servicing the residents since that means less road wear. 3. If a company is not doing its job, it is in danger of losing the entire contract not one or two individual accounts. 4. Rates cannot be arbitrarily raised because there is a contract. 5. It is safer for traffic to have fewer trucks on the road doing the same service. 6. It is more economical as one service c
