  1. There are more honest people than we sometimes think.

I once found a debit card on the sidewalk outside KB Toy Outlet in Hiram. It was also BOA. I drove to the front of the shopping center, wrote a note and dropped the note and card in the night deposit using one of their envelopes. Didn't take 5 minutes of my time but I hope it saved the woman who lost it alot of time and headache.

I think for the most part, people still try to treat others the way they would want to be treated.

  2. Yeah, they were closed yesterday too when I drove all the way up there. Closed for the holidays. :glare:

No wonder people dump their trash on the side of the roads! Or in dumpsters they can find anywhere!

Guess it will give them plenty to do next week. Waste taxpayers money driving all over the county to pick up trash everywhere.

  3. Did anyone notice that the 1st President to "smile" was Jimmy Carter? How funny is that?

Actually, Kennedy was the first I noticed smiling, but Carter was the first to show teeth. Every president after him is also smiling with teeth showing too! Very cool video, can't wait to show it to my son later.

  4. How much was it on Amazon before shipping?

BTW, I love Amazon! Ordered my son's Wi from there 1 week before Christmas rather than try catching one at a store somewhere the day they got some in. I would have done the free shipping, probably would have still arrivied before Christmas, but I didnt want to chance it. Paid $9.00 for shipping for 3-5 days. Like your sons, it was still paying less than tax would have been.

    Kudos to Amazon!

  5. Um, wouldn't it be easier to simply wait until the kid can WALK through the Aquarium, rather than to take four days of previsions with you? I mean, once a few dozen people have this same idea, that's part of the big problem in a facility like this.

I mean really - what does a 1 year old get out of something like this? I think the Aquarium is a good place for kids to learn once they're actually KIDS. But babies and toddlers - I'm sorry - they barely know what planet they're on most of the time. They're not getting anything out of it. Buy the babies an underwater Nemo DVD instead.

  6. I should have done this last January when my 11 year old broke his arm on a Sunday. They were wonderful!! I could not have asked for better treatment in any aspect. They were standing at the door waiting on us when we walked in.

My ex was at work and his inurance had changed for the new year but I did not yet have a card for our son. I called him on my way to the er and told him to call and fax them the info ASAP. She had it and was waiting. They took him right back for xray. Within 1 hour his arm was set and in a cast. The doctor and every single person we had contact with was absolutely the nicest most compassionate I have ever witnessed anywhere!

I wish I could say this about just 1 trip we ever had to make to Cobb when living there. And that was when Children's Healthcare ran the pediatric er. The doctor traumatized my son when he was 5, trying to remove a lego from his nose. It was a horrible experience for both of us!

Way to go Wellstar Paulding! You guys are the bomb dang diggity!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I took my son about a year after it opened. Didn't like at much. Don't have any intention of going back anytime soon. We did enjoy the one in Chattanooga more just because it was easier to see and enjoy the exhibits. May just be me but I was totally lost and confused when we walked into the one here. No idea how it was set up, where the entrances to the exhibits were, etc. I'm still not 100% sure we saw everything.

Kinda like the zoo here. It's disappointing to plan it and go to spend the day, just to be disappointed because of the design and not be able to see half the animals because they are too far back in the exhibits to see. We have NEVER seen the lions.

We love museums. Fernbank the The High are our favorites! We return time after time to those, but the aquarium? Naa

  8. My dr. advised orange triaminic when mine was 6 months. It's for head congestion, cold and allergy. I can't remember the doseage though, and I don't imagine a pharmicist will tell you how much if they know it's for a baby.

  9. It takes a while to get over. Took me about 3 weeks. The antibiotic helped within about 3 days as in all of the color(infection) was gone out of the mucus but I still had lots of mucus. My doc recommended Mucinex D. It worked. It opened up my breathing after the first dose. You will have to ask for it and sign for it. It's kept behind the counter because of the druggies. I will say that it did wire my though. So I ended up taking it in the am and nyquil at night. I kept cutting back gradually as the mucus lessened.

Oh, and take Motrin(ibuprofin) for your ear, the inflamation. Just not on an empty stomache. And keep taking it every 4-6 hours. To keep your pain under control.

Hang in there, you will get better.
