  1. O.K., I use Gleem. Remember it? I have used it all my life (42 years) and have never had a cavity. I have gone through times over the years when it was difficult to find. Alot of big chain stores no longer carry it and I'm sure that's probably because it's not a popular seller. Walmart used to but doesn't now. Thanks to Ingles in Dallas who still carries it. I have tried other brands from time to time when I couldn't find Gleem but couldn't stand the taste and always went in search of my favorite. I don't know what I would do if Proctor and Gamble stopped making it! :D

  2. I agree w/you ferg55! I think it's ridiculous to change the day. My son and nieces and nephew will all trick or treat our neighborhood on Sunday, and that is the day my porch light will be on and I will give out candy. With the time change, they can get started an hour earlier than on Saturday Night

  3. Very well put ahcom! The negative campaining by the incumbent has helped me to decide to change the way I will vote this Tuesday from how I voted in the primary. The clincher for me was the ad I received in Friday's mail showing a real estate sign of Westbrooks advertising 5+/- acres for sale to be developed up to 10 units per acre. This sign was depicted in a negative way indicating that Mr. Westbrook supports building new apartments and high density. Who can blame Mr. Westbrook for trying to sale the land? That's what he does for a living. He wasn't the county commissioner in office when that property was zoned to be developed with 10 units per acre was he? I also found it insulting that Mr. Shearin would think we voters are too ignorant to see it for what it really is. I have come to believe that Mr. Westbrook is a man of higher integrity based on the way he has run his campain and feel he deserves a chance.

  4. Thanks dogwood, I would really appreciate that! My son likes to stay active in something and we really were interested in giving cross country a try. I would like to fing out something before we miss all the weekend sign ups for fall baseball though. Maybe you can find out something. I've exhausted all my avenues, but I will let you know if I should get some news.

  5. Can anyone tell me if the Running Stars Youth Track & Field club still exists and if so how to contact someone? They used to practice at EPHS. I have sent emails to everone listed on their web site but haven't been answered by anyone. I was told at the end of last spring that the head coach had moved away. I have an 8 year old son who loves to run. Thanks.
