  1.

Apparently, the homeowner's insurance company has deemed the house unsafe to live in and put him in a motel. From what I read, engineers are currently trying to figure out how to remove the truck without collapsing the house.

Hopefully, the homeowner has retained a skilled lawyer.

Unless it's Waste Management, good luck getting anything out of them.

  2. It's beyond me that there is such a market for heroin. Getting addicted to pain killers after an injury/surgery is one thing, but to shoot up herion is another thing all together. It's crazy.

With the crackdown on pill mills and pain prescriptions, what other choice does someone who is addicted have but to go with illegal drugs. Just because you can't get a legal prescription does not make you less of an addict. The addiction does not go away because your source is cut off.

  3. It really could be from AT&T wanting you to UPGRADE your service, not update your e-mail. They are very, very sneaky with their sales.

I have gotten nothing from them but I no longer have AT&T phone service.

And if on December 11, my e-mail goes away, I'll simply revert to one of my other accounts. It's not like it will hurt me none.

I do have bellsouth email address.

    thanks everyone

  4. As long as a doctor isn't rude, hateful or condescending, I can put up with a bad bedside manner if they know their stuff. However, if they don't know their stuff, I don't care how nice they are. They will be history with me.

My current orthopaedist doesn't have a pleasant personality. He's not rude or hateful and he's far from condescending. He's kind of dry and all business. But he knows what he's doing and I overlook his personality. The funny thing is my chiropractor told me the ortho doesn't have the best personality around but said he felt that the ortho was one of the best in the area. He's affiliated with a world renowned orthopaedic group and to me that says volumes. When I go to have injections in my knee or to have replacement surgery, I don't want a bright, bubbly beginner. I want someone who knows what the heck they're doing even if we can't joke around. I was pleased that I got him to smile on my third visit. good.gif

He definitely isn't for everyone. We have used him for over 20 years and love him. He doesn't always have the best bedside manner, but I have found him to be in a better mood earlier in the mornings. I DO love that we can always see him the day we call him sick. He doesn't give meds if they aren't absolutely necessary which is perfect for me, as I detest having to take any meds. I also love how he tells you exactly like it is. My Dad didn't care for him much either, but he did more for him than his VA PCP did.

  5. Don't know of one in Dallas or Hiram, but Dr. Saltz and Dr. Edwards in Powder Springs accept it. Or at least they did a few months ago.

You should have received a booklet from Medicaid listing the providers in your area.

I'm trying to find a Medicaid doctor here in Dallas or Hiram. Does anyone know of one? I'd appreciate any help with this. Thank you.

  6. I did not know he had been in hospice care. It hasn't been long since I saw him and he looked quite well. He was going somewhere up around Cartersville but had stopped at Martin's for breakfast. I didn't even realize it was him in front of me until I heard him speak. We never saw each other without giving a hug. He never saw my husband without a good handshake. We both got them that day.

He helped me tremendously, more than once. When our daughter sustained a concussion and whiplash, he got her back "together". Once the CT scan showed no fractures, we took her straight to Dr. Ralph. The effects of the concussion lasted a long, long time (and to a degree are still bothering her) but the whiplash was taken care of quickly.

Ms Georgia was a peach, wasn't she? I know Dr. Ralph was hit hard with the loss of Georgia and Dr. Bob so close together (just a few months apart). I think they were his two closest friends.

I just wish we were there as I would definitely go to visitation and possibly the funeral. I'll miss him. He was a great man and a wonderful chiropractor.

My chiropractor had studied under him before going out on his own. I had just asked him on Friday how he was doing and he told me then that he was in Hospice care and wasn't doing well. Neither of us had any idea that that was going to be the day.

He was my first chiro. He overcame alot of my fears and reassured me as to chiropractic care's place in my overall health. I will be forever grateful.

And, Ms. Georgia - she was a piece of work. I always told her she was Miss America with a name like that (and then he had Miss Virginia - I think he had a thing for Miss America).

RIP Dr. Morris. You fought the good fight!

  7. My heart is breaking. I loved Dr. Ralph. I saw him not long ago and we spoke a good while.

RIP Dr. Ralph. I'm sure he is meeting up with Dr. Bob and Ms Georgia.
