  1. I love Smith Sales!! Can't wait to visit the new store!!

It is basically a "junk" store with GREAT prices. You have to go and spend some time looking around, but you can get great deals on cleaning products, toys, lotion, tools, etc. They just get different stuff in all the time.

  2. When I was a kid growing up in South Georgia, we ate mayo and banana sandwiches and mayo and pineapple sandwiches. A big deal on Sunday was half pears with a spoonful of mayo in the "hole" and a cherry on top. My daughter remembers being at her babysitters and her baby sitter giving her a mayonaisse sandwich (with nothing else in between) and telling her she could not go swimming if she did not eat it. She was grossed out. I remember eating those as a child also (when there was no ham or turkey to go in it!!). I guess that it is a southern thing!!

  3. I had a friend whose daughter was in kindergarten at the time. The class had to write a paper using the phrase "I admire my mommy because:" . Her daughter put "she is bigger than a bathtub". Of course they hung these on the wall at "parent's night" for all the other parents to see. My friend was terribly embarrassed! When they left she asked her daughter "Do you really think I'm bigger than the bathtub?" The daughter innocently answered "Yes Mommy. Your feet go all the way to the end!" It was hilarious!!!

  4. I grew up where Soapmom lives and I agree, the swamp is beautiful. My brother takes vacations on the OTHER side of the swamp in a town called Fargo. There are cabins and stuff over there. He loves it.

  5. I am so happy. My 16 year old got a JOB. He just turned 16.

    TOOT TOOT

And he did not have to get a job, It was his choice. He causes no problems, spends no money, and is super smart, so I was content letting him enjoy the summer.

He has already worked out a budget. 75% of what Uncle Sam does not take is going into his Car and College Fund.

What a great kid! My 15 year old daughter takes 75% of what Uncle Sam does not take from me and puts it into her clothing/entertainment fund.....or at least she TRIES to!!

  6. This is really wierd- but Preparation H works wonders. It numbs the burn and reduces the swelling. I grew up near Florida and have had my share of bad sunburns. This is the only thing I have ever used that worked so well I could sleep!

  7. Airplane:

"What do you make of this?" Hands the air traffic controler a piece of paper.

"Why I can make a hat, or a broach or a terradactyl!"

    Love that movie!!

Same movie (introducing three men with last names Dunn, Under and Over)

"Over, Under, Under, Dunn, Over, Dunn"

  8. I went through the drive thru of the McDonald's on 61 and Scoggins on Wednesday night. There was a kid in the drive thru that was absolutely awesome! He was very friendly and helpful. I never ask for a manager, but that night I actually got a manager to the window so that I could tell her how awesome he was. See guys, there are still some young fast food workers out there who are destined for greatness!!! I was very impressed (and it takes a lot for the fast food worker to impress me!!)

  9. He was 23, she was 15. A 23 year old man can talk a 15 year old girl who thinks she is in love into doing most anything, even if she knows it is wrong. He is a man, she is a child. He knows better, she is still mentally a child. My daughter is 15. If a 23 year old man even looked at her in that way I would cut his ..... off and then would want to lock her in her room until she grew up. Any way you look at it, this was wrong. And a 23 year old man who wants a 15 year old girl--sicko--He is just out to manipulate anyway.

  10. I love Amelia Island. It is right above Jacksonville. If you decide on this, the Plantation is more expensive than Fernandina Beach. This is a more relaxed place--not like PCB. There is not a lot of stuff to do and not a lot of kids roaming around. It is a place to go to shop and relax on the beach. There is one putt putt place and a movie theatre, but that is about it. Also, the downtown area of Fernandina Beach is really quaint and we love to go browse there. It is on the marina, so it is very pretty. A 2 BR condo will run you from $800 to about $1200 (again, the plantation is more expensive). We are staying in a nice 2 BR condo on the beach in Fernandina for $1200 for the week. It is a bit upscale, but we love it there!! We have seen others for about $800-$900. they are a little smaller, but nice.

  11. hahaha OMG that took me so long!
