  1. We tried General Muir across from the CDC last weekend for Linner (not Brunch). I had their smoked corned beef and eggs. It's worth a try. I also hit Dave's Cosmic Subs when I am down around Emory for lunch.
  2. Speaking of weather people talk, if I hear "ushering in" again I am going to email Karen Minton and tell her about it. And while I telling her that, I might as well ask her who the hell gets her dressed every day.
  3. Tuesday 2 -6. I just saw the question asked on FB.
  4. HiFi Buys is what I was trying to remember.
  5. Getting old ain't necessarily a bad thing.. Henri's opened in 1969. What was the name of the music place on Peachtree? My buddy bought a Marantz sound system there somewhere around 1974 or 1975. That was the top of the line in those days. What is weird is our office was about two blocks from the Sears on Ponce and we went to Buckhead to rent tools. There was no 400. I'm trying to remember how got there. There were also no cell phones and this was even before the pagers. I swear I don't know how we ever got anything accomplished back then.
  6. No. I know Canemec. Two different people.
  7. For some reason I notice new catch phrases and buzz words. Lately I have been noticing that anyone that starts an answer to a question with the word "so" is usually highly educated or at least wants to make someone think they are. "The Doctors" are some of the worst at this. And when did it start to be necessary to tell me to "reach out" to someone if I had any questions. What ever happened to just contacting them?
  8. I have been eating at Henri's since the 70s. Northside Tool Rental used to be right across Irby from them and I was in NTR two or three times a week. Of course back then I was lucky if I could afford to eat there once every two or three weeks. NC, if you have a gig hauling Jags to the repair shop you will be able to retire in 6 months. I owned one of those pieces of junk once.
  9. Probably Pubby. He's starting to act like he owns this place.
  10. You might want to read this: Giant Rattlesnake link
  11. Get you some rat shot. I usually keep some in an old cheap .38. I wouldn't shoot rat shot through a good pistol. Gives you a little more coverage.
  12. Look for former member is what I am understanding.
  13. THanks Ronk. THat is the same video I posted yesterday. Look for it to disappear.
  14. DUDE! A copper-noggin. Heebie-freakin-jeebies. I thought you meant neckid and skeered.
  15. I have a good friend that works for Vinson and Elkins in Houston. You're not there are you?
  16. What's up with my posts being deleted? Not that I care, it just seems rude as hell.
  17. Here is one of the best versions of the band playing that song. Add Ed King and you have the best L/S ever (IMO). Only two of these guys, Artimus Pyle (drums) and Gary Rossington (guitar) are still alive.
  18. I think you mean Lynard Skynard. Great song from back in my days as a youngster.
  19. When I first got into commercial construction I was working on the Hilton Downtown. There was a laborer who liked to hide in the portajon to keep from working. One day his boss threw a choker around the toilet and hooked him to the tower crane. When he came out 25 floors higher, he had been cured of whatever bowel ailment he had.
  20. The only problem I have with the death penalty is the time it takes to administer it. The two Mexicans that killed the 13 year old this week should be assuming room temperature by now. Especially the spitter.
  21. This is Politically Correct week on p.com. The use of terminology such as long handled or nappy headed when referring to hoes is grounds for dismissal.
  22. One of the best hidden treasures around here for fishermen is Nature's Tackle Box next to Academy. They have fishing equipment and lures that Academy doesn't have.
