  1. The TSPLOST was a way to make people in every county of metro Atlanta pay for the mismanagement, extortion, ignorance and entitlement that the City of Atlanta has experienced due to its inhabitants and leadership since Maynard Jackson took office as mayor in 1974. That being said, I'm not that crazy about Pennington. I think he would be in way over his head. And to be honest, I think Deal has done a good job. News Junky told me right after the election that I would be pleasantly surprised by Deal and she was right. I will be supporting Deal this time. Thank God Roy Barnes didn't
  2. I'm not sure if you heard this part of the story, but he bought The Washington Post with his personal funds, not as a corporate investment. To the tune of $120 Million.
  3. Start with a Sweetwater 420, a New Belgium Fat Tire, Sweetwater IPA, Ranger IPA and Stone IPA. Some place you can mix and match a 6 pack. 420 and Fat Tire are both fairly mellow.
  4. I wouldn't consider them froo froo. They are brewed with malt and barley instead of rice and corn, then they are severely hopped, usually with wet hops. Most of them carry about double the alcohol content of a Bud or Miller. Not to mention, they taste great. But! Just to clarify. I am a pretentious beer snob. I'm okay with that.
  5. Yukon the brewer? Talked to him yesterday. Next president of the United States. My favorite liberal.
  6. I am in. I'll talk to our buddy at Burnt Hickory about getting out hands on a small keg of Cannon Dragger. They hae some good stuff comimg.
  7. This craft beer (or as we grew up calling it home brew) has actually evolved into something the French and Itallian wineries will envy. We are talking subtle tastes of citrus, coffee and chocolate depending on the type hops used and how they are used. This is s cool science experiment.
  8. Do you have a good connection on your donkey piss? I can hook you up.
  9. There is a place on Thornton Road may be Shamrock Glass. It is next door to the car rental place and across Thornton from the Harley shop. I had mine fixed there 8 years ago and it is still good. They inject the crack and it doesn't crack any more. Cost less than $50 when Ihad it done.
  10. Sweetwater IPA has been my go to lately. I also like Ranger. I'm okay with Stone. As long as it is IPA I usually like it. I have a growler store close to my office in Avondale that keeps about 30 different craft brews on tap. And Highland Beverage has a good selection of crafts. Give me hops or just freakin keep it.
  11. Get em to put back the missing posts. Funny as crap. Eddie said he was eating camel toes for dinner. Oh gee whiz. That is the funniest thing I have seen ever.
  12. That's an oxymoron. Coors light has no taste. Try you a Sweetwater IPA. It's for beginners. You will hate the first few. But that day the first two tastes good, watch out. The stuff is like taking a xanax. If it gets over 7% ABV I have to be careful. It makes me fall asleep in the lobby of the oil change garage. DOH! I just saw where you were never touching it again. Sounds like a lot of story there.
  13. Get back to me about this time tomorrow. I have had six tournaments this year, we have won three of them. I'm not sure about my methods either. It's like the two Kenyans running from the lion. One guy screams "You can't outrun that lion." To which the other guy replies "I just have to outrun YOU." All we have to do is outfish 40 other boats. Piece of cake. Anyone tracked down the toe? SHe went to the Tonk?
  14. They are drinking margaritas and daquiris. They don't drink scotch on the rocks and Jack and coke like we did. And the new beers that I like are 8 to 12 % alcohol that young people can't acquire a taste for overnight. These things are seriously hopped. Ask Whitey some time.
  15. A few, very wealthy, mostly Caucasian people (not all male) have indeed been living high on the hog for a long time. And to extend their high on the hog living, they have been able to drive a wedge between white guys, blacks and females. I refuse to sit back, tuck my tail and say "yeah, those poor black bastards were done so wrong." HELL! I never owned a slave. My ancestors never owned a slave. They were Cherokee. We got trucked just as hard as the blacks. I have no empathy for them. I have this advice: Git up off yo ass and do sumpin fo yo'self. That's all that counts. We wil
  16. OKay. I am going to play along. Companies in New York, Baltimore, Chicago, San Fransisco and LA that do the same work that I do charge at least 3 times what we charge in the Atlanta market. When I was young I was offered jobs in all of these cities with huge increases in benefits and salary. And I'm not saying it is all bad. The transition from doing it "Southern Style" to catching up to the rest of the country is going to put a lot of people in a bad way. I try to be progressive and able to adapt to the everchanging market, but I will not work illegals. And unfortunately, there is no e
  17. If only the affordable health care act was.
  18. PIp, You know how I work and having been in the same industry for a while you know that next week's schedule milestones is what every project manager in construction is verifying on Friday. Well. About the time I read Eddie's post I got a call from the PM on my largest project. I started off professional and that lasted about 5 seconds until I broke out in an uncontrollable laugh. Knowing that it was out of character for me to conduct business that way the guy asked me what was happening. So after a 5 minute preamble I was able to set the scene. Now I am trying to figure out if it was
  19. I can only guess your last name.
  20. Really? Nobody knows the answer to this question? Take a look at him. You don't think he was bullyed all the way through school? And with a name like Tony the Wiener.
  21. Don't you know that ONLY white people can be racists?
  22. I know. But you'll grow out of it. When you get to be 50+ and you are still a liberal, that is when you need help. PS: I voted for Jimmy Carter when I was young and dumb. The SOB about starved me to death.
  23. So why is it the white student union has that "perception" and any other race does not? I think people have fallen into that pity trap that has been set for them. Equal IS equal. Allowing one group to do something and making an issue of it when another group does the same damn thing is not equality. Never has been, never will be and I refuse to be dumbed down by anyone or anything to the point where I think it's okay. Absolute silly-assed liberal feel good bull shiit.
