  1. I still think you are on the right track taking option 2. That minimizes the risk of interrupting your income.
  2. Divorce is a hostile situation so if there are any marital assets you want and future support you need, you must get an attorney. A divorce can be finalized within months; it's a fairly quick process. If you can avoid it and reconcile, that's what I recommend. I have no ideas about health insurance other than there are websites of various providers that offer individual plans.
  3. My wife is 10 years younger than me and is retiring earlier than she planned so that we can spend more time together. Getting the move to Florida she so badly wanted doesn't hurt either. We are very compatible.
  4. From my house near Dallas Hwy and Lost Mountain, it is just over 43 miles. So, while not local, may be worth the drive if it helps you.
  5. As long as the results of the suits end up on Obama's desk, where they belong. He may be busy campaigning so he'll have to be interrupted.
  6. He's a busy guy. How can you possibly expect him to focus on jobs and the economy when it is far more important to get more Democrats elected so that he can further his leftist agenda? Don't you agree that we need more stimulus, higher taxes, more liberal programs? Come one! Jump on the bandwagon! Obama has free stuff for you if you'll simply support him. Give the man a chance.
  7. All we need is more and more large and corrupt government.
  8. My wife and I looked at moving to Savannah several years ago and could not find anything that interested us more than downtown. Outside Savannah is swamp so nothing really pretty that we found.
  9. Asheville. Stay in a nice B&B and eat at one or more of the excellent restaurants. Come home completely relaxed.
  10. You make a great point re face to face contact versus virtual contact with friends and family. Once my wife retires and we have moved to Florida, I may do exactly what your brother in law has done.
  11. Our neighborhood uses it along with Google groups. It's ok but I do not post much.
  12. Make him replace the phone himself. That would encourage him to take better care of it. No cell phone is kid proof.
  13. Mine stayed the same. It went down in 2011 and then again in 2012. My 2013 assessment is the same as it was in 2012.
  14. Best of luck for the sale. I hope you end up with nothing left except cash in your hands!
  15. Thanks. I was talking with my builder's rep yesterday and she told me that my lot was high and dry. Whew!
  16. That's very valid. Can you imagine TP cleaning up....no!! I can't go there!
  17. I hear you. My wife doesn't finish working until May. If everything goes as I hope, our current house will close in January and I'll be in our new house in February. That means she (meaning I will have to do this) has to find a place to live for 3-4 months. That will give me time to furnish the house and get everything set up for her. She plans to arrive and sit. Our two cats have already said that they are moving down with Daddy. They can't wait to spend days lounging in the lanai.
  18. I agree with you; Amy says she would give it away before she took responsibility for selling it so it is all on my shoulders. Fun!!
