  1. I like your thinking. There is an article in the latest Hemmings Muscle Machines regarding a test drive of the new Camaro. I'll be reading it this weekend.
  2. Well, like you said, 2 outta 3 ain't bad as long as she doesn't require a custom made bra! First Corvette was a 77. Paid 7700 in 1980 and sold it in 1989 for 8400 after putting almost 100K miles on it. Older Corvettes are a good buy if you keep them and improve them.
  3. I would expect the Camaro to have a lot of time tested components so I would not be concerned about the first year's model at all. Actually, the 65 and 66 blue was called Nassau Blue and it was a different shade of blue. The 67 blue was Marina Blue. You have to see the two blues side by side to tell the difference.
  4. The new Camaro is a beaut. However, let's consider the true classics of our lifetime - American muscle cars. They look great, they run better than great, they are relatively (compared to today's technology) easy to repair and maintain and here is the biggie: They appreciate in value! New cars depreciate in value. Here is an example of one of many Chevys I have owned: This car sold for more than 15,000 dollars over what I had invested in it. By owning (and loving) these cars, I'm not conservative at all - I consider myself to be very, very smart.
  5. Steven, come by and say hi. There is a cruise night tonight in Hiram. I'll be there in my 67 Coronet. I can sing but I won't leave my car.
  6. OK, the most recent use of "panther" was by Ford for the CV/GM platform. I remember the Camaro being called "the hugger" in late 60s advertising. I'll have to see if my old brain can remember "panther" in a Camaro use though. OK, do you mean "Gorries Black Panther Camaros"?
  7. It is truly beautiful. I have driven a couple of the older ones and would enjoy this. I find it very interesting that the American automakers are designing the new sporty cars based on the styling of the 60s. I do know that there have never been cars as appealing as those that we had when I was a young guy. I'm stuck in the 60s car wise and have yet to see anything built today that matches the styling, the raw power and the sheer pleasure of the 60s pony and muscle cars.
  8. I'll take it for a spin. Can I bring one of my babies or is this for Camaros only?
  9. I wish I could go but I am going out with my son and his future wife. Maybe next time.
  10. I am residential but I just wanted to comment on my HVAC vents which were cleaned about a week ago by you. I'll keep it simple - no more dust everywhere. Thank you.
  11. I had my carpet cleaned yesterday. Great job. I also had my vents cleaned but hard to comment on that until I'm sure I don't get dust pouring out of a couple of vents anymore - the one in my office loves to make my monitor dusty. Stay tuned.
  12. Some people are fast and then there is Glenn! I dropped off my mower and my leaf blower yesterday and picked them up this afternoon. Thanks, Glenn.
  13. Funny or not. As long as you're able to fix it, that is the point! Thank you, Glenn!!
  14. Doug, I am interested in both services. Please contact me.
  15. Rochester carbs can be tricky to rebuild. I send them out to a pro. Holleys I will do myself. I hope your Olds survived.
  16. I order to get the "Bob" to work on this Bob, I'll need a transplant.
  17. Madea - a smart, conservative woman who loves cars. Yep, that's pretty damn fine.
  18. I wanted to say that but MrsPSD says I'm a sweetheart so I have to behave. Maybe get a count? Give Rodney of how many steaks to have available? Or, can I bring my own and toss it on the grill?
