I remember Mrs. Fleeman from Dallas Elementary. Her family will be in my prayers.

[Poor thing just whined and whined..]

My dog eats everything except lemons. When he was a puppy, I gave him a wedge. He put in his mouth and then shook his head, slinging it across the room, shocked with the sour taste. Then he went over and kept barking and jumping back and forth at the wedge like it was going to bite him. He would get it in his mouth quickly then shake it out again. He kept doing the barking, jumping, biting, slinging, over and over until he finally gave up.

 

I wish I had a video of it. Now he just smells them and turns up his nose.

[Gas Gouging]

I got gas last Friday...because I needed gas! While all the hubbub was going on TV and I did not have to wait in line. I waited behind one car at a small station. I payed more than I would have paid the previous day, but it wasn't outrageous. I get that the gas goes up when there's a shortage, but I don't see why there will be shortages for several weeks like they're reporting on the news. I know the refineries were shut down in the storm and some had power outages but most of that is over- except in the hardest hit areas. A shortage for a few days..I get. A shortage for weeks sounds fishy.

I lived in Sylva - Jackson County for 3 years. I miss a lot about living in the mountains. The place where I worked had an office in Robbinsville and people who were not used to rural areas were terrified of going there....especially if they did not have a southern accent. : )He he Its been a few years since I've been back, beautiful place.
