  1. I considered education, as well. Avery is a UGA graduate and teaches at the University of West Georgia. His wife is also a teacher. I really think they have a vested interest in the public school/college system here in Georgia. I really like the Avery focuses on the issues and doesn't try to get the homegrown vote by being related to anyone or well-connected and also doesn't push the Christian thing. I don't want someone whose main aim is to glorify Christ, the churches have that covered. I think he will be a breath of fresh air.

If you can't decide between the lesser of two evils, VOTE FOR AVERY! lol. I don't usually campaign for candidates, but I really think Avery should be a consideration for those who can't decide or are caught up in the personal issues.

Home grown, related, and connected is not ALWAYS a bad thing. There are some good, honest people from here who have not run the county in the ground for personal benefit. But I do see how someone could form a negative opinion based on the actions of some.

I am in support of the whole "glorify Christ" thing as long as it is genuine. Not everyone who claims it, lives it. Not that people can't be human and mess up; I do every day.

edited because glofify is not a word

  2. I haven't decided who I'm going to vote for, yet. It seems in almost every election, national, state, and local, I have to chose who makes my stomach turn the least. I'm always weighing which negative am I more likely to be able to take. In this case, I think I can probably live more with Stout's past transgressions since he was very young and seems to live in very different manner, now.

That's what I'm thinking now, but it may change. :pardon:

  3. I'm with you.

Never been a Paulette fan before, but if she did what she did with the money she was showing in her contributions report, she might be worth taking a look at. I absolutely can't stomach the thought of Stout representing Paulding County. That is an embarrassment.

At least we're not the district that pretty much just re-elected Hank Johnson, the guy who thinks that the island of Guam may tip over.

  4. I love it when a story comes together, but no I am not anybody's campagn manager. But when all the smoke clears it will rock.clapping.gif

Wait untill the next post! rofl.gif

Ok, thanks for the info...but just so you know. That's the rumor going around about you.

Animal? Who is this Animal you speak of? ninja.gif

That one! Look up a bit

  5. Ok maybe I am paranoid, but the water never empties completely. If part of its contaminated, then wouldn't all of it be somewhat contaminated--germs do multiply. Does the hot water heater get hot enough to kill the germs? I wouldn't think so since it isn't boiling. I don't know what the solution is because its not like you can take the top off and scrub it out.

I normally don't cook with hot water or drink it, but I do use it to wash vegetables and dishes.

    ?????

  6. I appreicate the praises!!! I can hook yall up on some tanning and on lotion but you do NOT want me to airbrush you!!! I SUCK! at it... I need some practice. I think I just get nervous. That is why i do not offer it just yet. I will not do it until I am perfect at it. I will not have someone looking like a freak! My husband does a beautiful job but I do not do so great!

I volunteer if you need practice. I'll take the risk. :D

  7. Editing post, because, as pointed out, I don't know the intentions of the owner or the time owned---which I stated in my post

Many of us in Paulding have developed a distrust in general of people in government in Paulding and that can color our feelings and attitudes whether deserved or not.

I do know the sad condition of the apartments and what goes on in broad daylight in that area.

  8. Well here I go again. But what gets me is this lady is getting slammed for leaving her child in a car-----what about the countless number of kids that walk to school everyday unsupervised--totally legal. No adults around--children allowed to cross the streets all alone, cross railroad tracks all alone, walk for about 1 mile. ANd that is normal---I have asked the police and been told it is ok. However a person can leave a child in a locked car ( not saying this lady in the original post did or not) or leave them in a locked home all alone and it is horrible. But as I have said many times just this school year I have seen little 5,6,7,8 year olds doing all the above and noone seems to care about that. The answer I keep getting is it has happened for years, and years. Yes they get hit by cars, yes some even get picked up but it is LEGAL........but this lady is getting called all kinds of bad things I just dont get it. ;)

I also don't agree with young children walking to school unsupervised unless it is practically next door and there are no roads to cross. If I were the parent, I would still watch them. However, that doesn't excuse people living infants and toddlers unsupervised in cars, where the cars can be stolen...with the children inside. Happens all the time... watch the news. A few years ago, one guy tried to throw a child out, unfortunately, the child was tangled in the seat belt and was dragged to death.

You don't get why its not safe to leave a small child in a car alone? ????? Did you mean that? Did I misunderstand you?

  9. Do you already have young children at home? If so, you may want to be careful unless you only take foster children younger than your children. It is needed, but look into it closely before you do it. Many of these children have been exposed to a lot and have some issues. They still need to be cared for and need a good place, but you have to be in it for the kids and not the pay. The pay isn't so great and the job is not easy.

  10. I was pumping gas one day, the woman on the other side of the pump goes in to pay and leaves her baby in the car with the door open. She was in the store a while, she didn't just pay for gas, but bought some other things. I had already pumped my gas, payed at the pump, and was "standing guard" staring at the store doors for her while she was inside. Another guy pumping his gas also was watching, amazed. I just stood near the car door until she started walking out. She even gave me a funny look for standing there....I guess she was concerned that the strange lady was watching out for HER child.

  11. I AM NOT EXCUSING What the employee said--- I am always complaining about the rudeness of teens these days at grocery stores, fast food, etc. SIX Flags was the worst. I may be getting old but I worked at Wal-mart and Six Flags and I NEVER acted like that or saw anyone else do what I see some do these days--- That being said, the MCD employees probably do have to put up with a lot of crap and people trying to cheat to get free food.

  12. I noticed this place a while back, just from the outside, I had a bad feeling. Its not only close to the old courthouse but its almost directly across the street from Dallas City Hall.

  13. How can you make someone work and not pay them? A 'furlough' is staying at home without pay. Having to go into work and not get paid?!? I don't think so! Man, thats just wrong.

That's what I was thinking. I've heard of the possible furloughs. Given the current situation, I won't even complain---a couple of days off without pay. NO big deal if it keeps people from being laid off.

A couple of days WORKING without PAY!!! UMMM NOOOO That can not be legal.

Don't get me wrong, I love my job. Its that I put in sooooo many extra hours already. I either stay at school for extra hours, or take work home....weekends...games...summers.
