    Does anyone know where to go for Tennis lessons around here? I use to play tennis in high school and I was pretty good at it but now my daughter would like to learn and I was just wandering if there is anywhere around here to do that.

     

    I used to be an avid player and was "seeded" in amateur tournaments - if you could see me NOW!! LOL

     

    In Cobb, all the county parks gave lessons. Start by calling county parks and recreations; they will certainly have names.

    My wife and I went through the drive thru at Wendy's last night and a lady came off the main strip (that runs in front of Home Depot) and jumped in line in front of a guy who had gone around the building to get in line (the "right" way). Apparently he's as sick of people doing what they want as I am because he proceeded to jump out of his car and cuss her up and down. He stuck his head in her car window and screamed at her and she jumped out of her car and started cussing him right back. While I think he may have taken it too far, I am sick of seeing people do what they please because they know that no one will call them on it. Of course, when he did, she decided to run in and call the police on him. :rolleyes: What really puzzled me was that he said "you better be glad my kids are in the car" and I could only wonder what he would have done to her if they weren't because his behavior was already inappropriate for his children to witness, in my opinion. So, do you think he took it too far and am I the only one who is tired of people treating each other with such little respect (both parties acted inappropriately as far as I'm concerned.)

     

    After taking a stress class; and getting a bit older; I try very hard to not let things that I can't control upset me. The physical reaction your body has only hurts you; not the other person. Not to be totally a pushover; I probably would have beeped the horn, smiled and waved a quick thank you. (Then cussed under my breath). Life if full of people who feel "entitled". You know, people get killed in Atlanta for road rage - not worth it.

    That it means that you only have to clean the shower and the inside of a toliet <_< <_< <_<

     

     

    This is all news to me :angry:

     

     

    My daughter did great or so I thought - found out she never closed the bathroom door and cleaned behind it. Went in there one day, closed the door and there was a network of webbing complete with trapped assorted insects. I almost kept it; I thought maybe if I sprayed it gold, it would appear like some sort of "work of modern art".

    We can't decide where to go out tonight...not expensive, not pizza (I want pizza, wife doesn't), good with a 3 year old, in Hiram or Powder Springs. Ideas?

     

    My grandkids love Applebee's and Buffalos. They have a great kid's menu at Johnny Carrinos, the Firehouse (their subs are fabulous and the kids get a fireman's hat; no alcohol though. (I didn't mean no alcohol for kids; well, you know; I meant they don't serve alcohol.)

     

    We also like "something Azteca" (Mexican) next to Kroger on Ridge Road.

    But then - some people don't know how many they own - shame on them!! It must be horrible to keep all of that straight; I, myself, am a "list" person. Yeah, a list in the wallet so at any given moment, when asked, I can whip out my list and see that I have - hmmmmmmmmmmm - 12?

    So as you all know my mechaniclly inclined hubby is deployed and I am up crap creek with this car!!! uggh!!! first the battery would not charge but now it does and has been since I turned off the after market radio ( has to be wired wrong ) well the check engine light came on today and then after meeting KRM for lunch and getting home from the doctors office my car craps out on me!!! uggh!!! the battery is charged and all the power comes on but the car does not start it just clicks! out of all the things I have had to deal with now this!! and at the worst time possible!!! not enough money to fix this and I give up!! what is the point of being good if all you get is crapped on!!! I mean all this health stuff and hubby and the bills ands no ride to work!!!! I get to walk to work till I can come up with the dough to fix this I just want to scream!!!!!!!! Why me?!?!? did I not pray enough or help enough people?? I mean i don't know any more.

     

    (disclaimer if you have it worse then me please do not be mad at my rant I am just frastrated I know I am blessed )

     

    I sometimes have "talks with God". You know - like ok, enough is enough, already. I know you say you won't give me more than I can handle - but now you are pushing it. I go on and on for awhile and then I tackle the darned problem. You have a right to a pity party - and then it's over. Eat your elephant one bite at a time.

     

    You are having a rough go of it. I'm going to pray and wish I knew what to do about the car, but it might just be the starter.

     

    There has to be someone on this board who can help with that. Come on folks - what does this lovely girl need?

    Anyone else ever had a problem with the grocery chain pharmacy on ridge road ?

    Those are the meanest people I've ever talked to. This is twice they have been rude to us. Once before our trip this summer when I was trying to pick up some medicine for my child and today on the phone. I've never experience a rude pharmacy team like they have before. Next time I need to do some shopping, I'll make sure I go to the new ingles that is opening instead of KROGER on ridge road. They can kiss my you know what!!!

     

    They are rude and SLOW!! I have never been to a pharmacy where I waited over 15 minutes until I moved here. I love HIRAM, but I don't get the slowness. I did talk to a young man there about a month ago on the phone and he was very helpful and king.

    Ticks - eewww! What to do?

    Hubby got some stuff (at like home depot or something) and sprinkled it all over the yard. We had been seeing them on the cats and dog (who were all on meds for them) but they were just so awful they were still everywhere. Since he put the stuff down havent seen one!

     

    Thanks, I'll stop by there Saturday.

    Ticks - eewww! What to do?

    Is there something to spray in my yard to kill and/or deter the ticks. I have 8 animals, all on meds, but finding ticks in my house the past few days. Grandkids coming over this weekend and want to make this a safe yard for them and the animals.
