What time did this happen? I had my scanner on from about 6:30 until 11 p.m. and didn't hear it. I was kind of busy but I always stop if I hear the tone to see what is happening.

If my house was big enough for more people, I would. I just don't have enough room. When my grandson was 6 months old, his mom and dad split up for 3 months. My daugher and the baby lived with us. I loved having the baby here, but it was just too cramped and crowded. I shudder to think it could happen again!!!

It's at 397 Ridge Run Drive. Cross street of Ridge Road and Forrest Ridge Subdivison. One person possibly inside residence. I think they also dispatched Clark's.
4-man crew inside. Primary search completed. No one inside.

I just heard a lot of sirens and turned on the scanner. Apparently, there's a house fire not too far from me. Didn't get any details other than that they are setting up Ridge Run command.

It's been reported that the family was not in a crosswalk. I know that area of South Cobb Drive - I wouldn't attempt to jaywalk it ALONE, much less with children in tow.
I, for one, understand November Rain's point. If driving drunk with children in the car is child endangerment, then crossing a multi-lane road, in the dark, without assistance from pavement markings and crossing lights, should be endangerment, too.
I don't want to see the mother in jail, but I *definitely* don't want to see the driver charged - or sued.
I have to agree with you on this one. I know that area very well. It's a very dangerous intersection. I've seen people, not just mothers with children, trying to cross busy roads with dark clothing on while it's still dark in the morning. It's almost impossible to see them. It's very sad that the child was killed, but I think the mother should have been more careful than trying to cross South Cobb Drive in the dark with her kids.

This happened to me several years ago. They spent my whole paycheck all the way from North Carolina to Florida!!! Regions was the best. It took about three days for my money to be back in my account. My number was stolen at a restaurant on Powers Ferry Road near where I work. They made a bogus card and had a good old time.
Some banks are not as good as Regions when it comes to this kind of stuff. My sister-in-law had it happen to her with Wachovia and it was a real nightmare.

I had to change my comcast too so I wouldn't lose the History channel. But my on demand isn't working I call and we go through the old I'll resend the signal thing but nothing any clues as to what is wrong??
That's exactly what's happening with mine. I was told yesterday that the One Demand was not set up yet in Hiram. They are working on it but couldn't tell me when it would be available. I know that's not true because my co-worker lives near me in Hiram and hers has been working for months. This morning, my regular cable channels were acting up.
I honestly don't think Comcast knows what is wrong or how to fix it.

After 22 wks the chances of finder her alive are slim to none, this little angel is in Heaven, safe in the Lords arms. The only thing left to do is find her body and give her a proper burial and fry her mom, and anyone else involved. If her mom gave a damn she would have reported her missing from day 1, not 30 days after the fact.
AMEN to that!!! Also, I think the grandmother knows exactly what happened. I wouldn't be surprised if she was in on some of it, after Caylee was already dead. No way could I protect or defend one of my daughters if this happened to one of my grandbabies.

Words cannot describe how sick this makes me!!! I have a two-month-old granddaughter and cannot imagine something like that being done to her. Not to my 3-year-old or 18-month old grandsons either. The mother needs to have someone do to her what she did to this precious baby.
I agree that there's a place in Hell reserved just for her.

I feel your pain!!! I live in a small subdivison off Poole Bridge Road, off Ridge Road. There is a 3-way stop at the entrance to our subdivision. People come flying from both directions of Poole Bridge Road, and you'd never know there was a stop sign there. They act like there's someone waving a green flag!!!!
Granted, there's not a lot of traffic but it's still a stop sign and the law says you're supposed to stop.
I feel better now.

My daughter just called and said that they have found a bag of toys and bones in a lake. They believe the bones belong to Kaylee. I knew she was dead, but this just breaks my heart all over again. I tried to find something on the web, but couldn't. If anybody gets any more info, please post.

I didn't like Sugarland when I first heard them. Now, I really like them. But I have to agree with the "All I Wanna Do" song. It's horrible!! I like Jennifer Nettle's voice because it is different. But she should have left her hair alone. The new look does absolutely nothing for her!!!
Taylor Swift is amazing. Her talent is just incredible.
As for Carrie Underwood, I love her, too. She's the only American Idol who has ever really done anything. You never hear about any of the others unless it's something bad or stupid.

i'm planning on paying the ticket - i just want to know if i could possibly have the fine reduced or points reduced or what will happen with my insurance. this is my first ticket ever. i've been driving a long time.
I got a ticket several months ago for for going 50 in a 35 zone. It is such a fast road that I don't know why they have the limit at 35. Anyway, I was speeding, so I was very respectful to the officer, admitted I knew I was speeding, and he lowered the speed so that it would not give me any points. It cost me $111 in Cobb County.

I got my box last week. My daughter hooked it up last night. The regular cable channels are fine, but On Demand does not work. I spent almost 3 hours on the phone with Comcast last night, with peope speaking broken English and no knowledge whatsoever of how to fix the problem. I spent 30 minutes on the phone this morning demanding to have a service tech come to the house to fix the problem and to show me how to work everything (the remote looks like an airplane control panel or something). I was told in no uncertain terms that they would not send someone out, that I would have to learn to work everything on my own because it was "easy", and that the On Demand was not yet working in Hiram. I know better because a co-worker lives less than a mile from me and hers works fine.
I am so frustrated with them. The cost of the service did not increase, but if I have the features, I want to be able to use them. Also, my VCR no longer works with the new service. I really feel like disconnecting the whole thing and just dealing with the lack of channels.
I feel better now!!

I heard this on the scanner. One-car MVA. Hit a telephone pole and broke it. There was one person laying in the road, but they did not say he was ejected. Nothing was ever said about serious injuries. Two were transported to Paulding.

My father-in-law was diagnosed with mouth cancer about a year ago. He had surgery and has been through hell and back. He still has a feeding tube and will most likely never be able to eat real food again. He smoked for years. It prompted my sister-in-law to quit. My husband refuses to quit even though he has seen everything his dad has been through.
I pray for all the smokers who have no idea what cancer does to a family and how devastating it is.

I got into it when my daughter was pregnant with my first grandson. I took a class at the scrapbooking store that used to be in the strip mall across from Michael's. It was really a waste of money. I have no creative ability, but I've made some really good pages. You don't need to take a class!!!
I will warn you that it is a very expensive hobby. I love it but have to really put myself on a budget and can't buy all the stuff that I would like to. Go online to some of the scapbooking web sites and look at their galleries. You can get some great ideas from them. Michael's is very expensive and doesn't have a very good variety. The scrapbooking sites are the best. A lot of them have awesome sales. In fact, about the only time I buy is when it's on sale. Just google scrapbooking and you'll get dozens of good sites. I want to see it!! My best friend told me all about it. It gave me chills just listening to her tell the story. She and her husband are going through some problems right now. She took him to see it, and it really got to him. Hopefully, what he saw will stick with him.
