  1. I bought the baby carrots and I refuse to use a cheese grater with baby carrots. I'd be having a Knuckle Cake, instead of a Carrot Cake. I actually don't like using the grater with the regular carrots. That is ttoooo much work! Thanks for the suggestions. We really can't eat the whole cake but, I have been wanting a Carrot Cake for quite some time and it sure is good!!!
  2. Actually, I think the consignment sale at the Community Church on Cohran Store Rd will be having another sale in Villa Rica at Happy Valley Baptist Church . Not sure of the dates but call the church. I'm sending you a pm
  3. I'm baking a cake and I only have a small electric chopper and everytime I chop my carrots with this, the carrots always sink to the bottom. I chop them up as fine as I can get them. What can I do to avoid this, I don't have a blender to puree the carrots. tia

    Sad Story

    I'm looking for this, now.
  5. Hubby went this morning, also. I was helping my youngest daughter move today so, we go back tomorrow. We joined a couple of weeks ago and we love it. But, for us it's just the cost of the bullets and a target. We shoot two different guns and the bullets for them can get a little expensive, about $35-$45 per trip, for a one hour + session. We will have to slack up on the # of shots on each trip, though.
  6. Wow... times have changed since I was in jr high school. Our homeroom class WAS the first thing we went to, then we had 6 classes that we switched around every quarter. In homeroom class, which was only about 15-20 mintes, was for attendance, paying your lunch money, and that was about it. Can't think of anything else that we did in homeroom, could have been just not sure!!
  7. Awww, Poor Baby. I hope he gets better AND his buddy is found. My Grandson, who is almost 11 yo, had a blankie, soft on one side and silky on the other. It has been through 3 children, the 10 yo had it first then the 5 yo had it and then the 4 yo had it. It's just about worn out but, those 3 siblings loved "that" blankie, and I think it's put up for safe keeping. I know what it means for a child to have such an attachment to an item, whether it be a toy or a blankie.
  8. I like this lady, She tells it like it is!! like it is!!
  9. I've always heard, It's harder on adults, than on children. My oldest daughter had her tonsils out probably about 8 yrs ago and she is 39 now. It took her 3 weeks before she could really eat again. I hope she recovers in a shorter length of time, though.
  10. How "could" she have cheated, with all of those cameras on her?
  11. I shake my head in amazement everytime I come through there. Some people have NO CLUE, as to what the rules of the road, are!! It would be nice if they learned what the rules are!! I stop, count to three (I always do this) and then turn right on red, if it's safe to do so!! I also, stop and count to three, at stop signs, as well.
  12. THAT'S the exact statement...................I don't understand.
  13. Thank You, I was just reading one of your old post. All Well That Ends Well............ from late last year. What a coincidence.
  14. Hubby has somehow, changed his page to Spanish, how do you change it back. He has NO CLUE how this happened. tia
  15. Who's on First and What's on Second.....................
  16. Did you see picture on the internet of the Old Naked Lady with all of her Tattoos???? Yep, even on her hoo haa. :shok: Her ooobies were haning 'bout as low as this old mans, ooobies were hanging. Nope, tats are NOT for me!!!! Oh, and the Government needs to MIND THEIR OWN DANG BUSINESS!!!!! :aggressive:
  17. I'll get my limits and go
  18. I just wonder how the restaurant owners, that doesn't pay their servers "anything", get by with it?? You know, those places that you ONLY get paid, what you earn in tips???? Or, how about the small (kinda sorta) street corner conv. store that pays all but one of their employees in CASH??? Didn't mean to get off track. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  19. The Kroger on Hwy 278 in Dallas, Ridge Rd (Paulding Co), and Hospital Dr both in Douglasville. Would only let you use 5 of the same coupons at one time, for the same item. But, I'm kind of looking forward to seeing their new prices. Some items at Kroger were/are higher than Publix!! The store brand cream of mushroom soup is cheaper at Publix, The store brand yellow rice, is cheaper at Publix and other items, as well. Oh well, times ARE changing!! Publix limits their items to a maximum of 10. I don't know what store lets you get 20 or 30 items at the same time, maybe Wallyworld??? I really
  20. Yes, I posted this Tuesday but, there wasn't a link that I could attach to the post, at that time. THANK YOU!!
  21. We will probably, never know what really happened. Well, that was pretty much just a wait and see case. I just knew he'd do this, it was just a matter of time. One less person the system has to feed, clothe and house!
  22. I just love the Friday Downloads but the coupons on my Kroger Card, not so much!!! But now, I just may use them if they are good coupons. I get about 1, 2 and sometimes 3 sets coupons in the mail from Kroger, each month. I hardly ever use any of those!! They're NOT what I would buy, except for the FREE eggs and FREE lunch meat. I also, like the 10 for $10 items and the items you buy 5 get $1 off each item or you buy 10 and you get $.50 off each item. But, I definately will miss the double coupons!!!
