We bought this one two hears ago. It was a HUD house and needed a lot done. We are still working on it but since it was appraised two years ago I just can't believe it went is worth that much more. The neighbor on one side has no change from last year and he owns more property and has more square feet but was appraised 23m less than ours. most of the houses in the subdivision went way up like ours.

Does anyone know why the traffic is completely stopped on 278 in Hiram? My husband has been there for hours and I haven't seen anything on here about why. I am hoping the traffic will start to move again so he can get home. The traffic was okay on bankhead and 278 until just past Florence Road at the Paulding line.

My husband has been sitting on 278 between Racetrac and Target for Two and a half hours. This is just ridiculous. What is our "storm ready" county doing? -

I agree with this!!! I drive to work before six am and they lie in wait at Enterprise Path. I got the ONLY ticket I am gotten in the last 15 years there a year ago. I have to ride the brake all the way down the hill to stay at 45. Funny I drive fourty miles each way to work every day for years and years...including 20 and 75 and the ONLY place I got a ticket is Hiram. quote name='lowrider' timestamp='1383956373' post='3855789'] You know what really chaps my ass about Hiram? You're travelling east on 278 which is 55MPH, go past Highlands and somewhere going down the hill at the Mex -

We just closed on our new house in July, the taxes went up $150.00. Is that from not having the homestead exemption this year? It still shows it owned by HUD. -

Does anyone here know of a tv repair company(other than the one at the intersection of 92 and Nebo). I need someone to fix mine, we think it is the power supply. My husband is having severe withdrawals and we need it fixed before the game starts.

We were living in a ranch house in Powder Springs(NOT a daylight basement, it had no exterior enterance.) It was always a little spooky but one afternoon my three year old grandson and I were home alone, we were in the little storage room at the top of the stairs and my grandson looked over the railing and said " Nanny, what is that man doing down there?" I froze of course, LOL, and peaked over and saw nothing. Then I heard a rattle and the dogs went nuts. I quicky pulled him out of the room, locked the door since that will keep any ghost out right. Still get chill bumbs thinking about it

I suggest anyone thinking of taking food from my grandchildren be wearing a bullet proof vest and riot gear.... I think that motivates me more than anything else is trying to protect my family from not just hunger and thirst but looters and "bad guys". If I was a little younger I would get a compound bow and practice
-
I believe you, it scares the crap out of me to think my grandchildren will grow up without the freedoms we have taken for granted for so long. Don't know about you but my family won't be going gently into that goodnight.

You are right, the government sites tell you to be prepared too, and its scary that so many won't have food or water to last days much less a month. I hope those guys are not the ones with guns bent on taking food from the ones that did prepare. If you have children I think you should be ready to feed them in case of any type of problem.

It can run into some money to put all these aside. I am reading a ebook on my kindle about it now. It recommends a months worth of staple foods but rotated in with your regular groceries. I guess that means whatever staples I buy I need four times as much. Plus the powdered milk and water, etc. I also need a months supply of blue e-cigs, but Walgreens won't give me a discount for buying in bulk. Its a lot to think about. Any medications you take regular you need a months supply all the time but most people probably keep that much. If that means giving up our firearms I don't th

LOL, that is the gun I just bought amno for yesterday
-
I think they just like collecting guns, We just have two like most local people I think. I think it is best to look ahead to what is possible like Katrina and 9/11 and be prepared.
-
thanks! there are so many reasons now to be prepared, the weather patterns are wierd now and the terrorist threat and the economy. I would love to live futhur out in the country now, but we already drive to far to work.

Thanks! I honestly am concerned about the ecomony right now. Any type of diaster either natural or man made could result in that happening. I don't want to over react so I won't buy anything that won't get used anyway, except maybe water purification tablets. I did go the new sporting good place after work yesterday and buy more amno for my husbands gun. My son saw them and asked me why did you buy 100 357 cartridges? I told him because 22 shells won't fit.
