If facts means nothing, that makes sense....just not in the real world. Maybe you are kidding... If your statement were true, you'd be picked up and hauled away. I'm very glad you are wrong. This would be a much worse place to live if your words were correct..... and, you certainly would not have said that if you really believed it.

It was also noted they drink water and eat vegetables occasionally. And they were alleged to have had some beers in the 2 or 3 years before their arrest.

Hobby Lobby wins / R. Candidate announces daughter pregnant.

When I was in college and running 25 to 40 miles a week, I couldn't understand the big deal about staying skinny. But I was young and ignorant. It seemed so simple and easy then. I was ignorant and lacked empathy and understanding. As far as "choices" go, "it's hard to remember that your initial goal was to drain the swamp when you are up to your ass deep in alligators." In theory, that "choices" things means almost anything should be relatively easy or at least simple. Hint: lots of things ain't easy at all. Don't say that. He has a purty mouth. -

It's one state. Add child abuse and incest....more common in Red States. And don't forget aboortzion...also more common in Red States. Red States vs Blue States -
I've known some males that cry like their va-ja-jay hurts. Just kidding. My understanding is that women withstand pain better than men do. I have heard 2 women say that their kidney stones caused them more pain than giving birth. Iv'e been lucky... the worst physical pain I've had is broken bones and migraine headaches.

No he doesn't. Again, the second statement is COMPLETELY separate from the story about the country doctor. The doctor believed in essence that if a husband was concerned about the baby over the mother, the "husband" is probably not going to be a good husband, father or man. The SECOND statement is in no way directly connected to the first part of the post.

It's just as easy as eating less and losing weight. It's so easy, it is perfectly adequate explanation for why there is no obesity in the US. People are stuck with jobs they don't like and for practical reasons can't replace with a job "that gives you everything you want." Some few can but many can't. Hey, here is another problem single-payer health care would solve. Everybody pays for healthcare, everybody would have healthcare and no one would have to stay with a crappy abusive employer just so their kids wouldn't be without healthcare. Oh, and no employer would be saddled wi -

All those things happen at higher rates in the Bible-thumping Red States. -
The story is separate from the second statement. The two things have in common that the woman's health and well being is the most important factor. The doctor in the story felt, rightly so, that the husband's first concern should be his wife. If it isn't, the husband isn't worth pooh and probably won't be a good husband, man or father.

I don't believe you read my post. If you did, you completely missed the meaning.

Employer gets sued because they want employees to speak English
rbpls replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Again, I agree. I couldn't and wouldn't hire someone I can't communicate with. I wish I'd learned a second language when it's easier. Grammar school age is later than ideal. I took a year of French in college but it's a "use it or lose it" thing. I can read more French than I can speak. I ain't real good at either. -
Some famous writer (W. Somerset Maugham maybe?) told a story of a doctor he knew. He said the doctor, after delivering a baby, based his fee on what the husband said immediately after the delivery. If the father asked the doctor "how is the baby?" without asking about the mother first, the doctor charged twice as much for his services. The below is not connected to the above story about the country doctor : I hope you'd care more for your wife than you would for the 3 month fetus that might hurt or endanger your wife's health. Or, if the baby was certainly going to die a hor

How in hell did you get that from what I said? I said it's good for people learning to learn a second language. It's good for the brain. So is learning music. So is more math. Damn, have you been bitten by a rabid racoon?. -

I couldn't hire non-english speaking workers. Anyone who sued me would lose. I would hire someone who was seriously trying to speak better English every day as long as they know enough english to effectively communicate during the interim. I couldn't imagine moving to France and trying to get by without seriously ramping up the ability to speak French. I believe you'd have to be studying and practicing at every opportunity or you wouldn't be worth very much to an employer. That being said, we should probably concentrate more on kids learning a second language. And, we should probably -
True. At that age and with his lifestyle, he was likely more the sperm donor than the father. You are still trying to paint me as anti-choice. You really do not realize you error?

My ex-wife's mother was the first generation born here to German Mennonite immigrants in Hutchinson Kansas. Armed guards were posted (one at at a time of course) at their one room school house to make sure the several German immigrant kids didn't speak German. My ex-MIL often brought lard sandwiches to school for her lunch. Times have changed. My ex still knows long German phrases her still German speaking Grandmother used over 50 years ago when scolding her at home. Her Grandmother passed last year 4 days from being 101 years old. Most Mexicans don't cut Americans any slack on t -
Picasso fathered a child at over 70. He said, loosely quoting: "If I had been a religious man, I would have been the Pope. But, I am an artist...so I am Picasso!" Pretty confident old cuss.

It is really thick to try to cast me as anti-choice. Sounds more like disingenuous fake outrage than anything. If you don't know better than that, you certainly should. Who do you think you're fooling? Me, anti-choice? No way that is a reasonable belief about me. It is anti-choice to say adoption is always the best first choice for everyone. No one position is always the best first choice. And no man or woman owns anyone else's body. Irony is that aboortzions increased every year of Reagan's terms and went down every year during Clinton's terms. Funny how that worked. Legal and

Always loved her work. She did a great job as the crook running the orphanage in Annie. She did that funny little signal to her daughter near the end of all her shows. Conway and Corman were great too. Hell, all of them were really good. -
Adoption is not always the best choice for everybody just because some voice that opinion. Prevention of unwanted pregnancy is the best first choice. The morning after pill is the next best if anything thwarts prevention. Being against those 2 things is being is sort of pro-aboortzion.

Never met her... don't know if that picture with her posts was even her. Never said that. Never worked with her. Wouldn't know her if I saw her. I never used any other screen name.

Well, you have Beyonce, Buffett, Jobs, Gates, Ted Turner, Wozniak, others you can name with 2 or 3 minutes of looking. Some others were mentioned in the OP. Other founders of Microsoft and Apple. Why would they even consider voting for somebody like Bush, McCain or Romney?? Maybe on an outside chance Romney...but the actually conservative economists looked at Romney and said "vote for Obama." You know the brilliant innovative entrepreneurs who made it big without being born rich. Don't forget that the conservative economists from Economist Magazine endorsed the economically best candidate

Honestly, I don't know TBAR, the Zooster and have NEVER had any other id. I remember Zooster posting and having rude bullying mean-spirited guys getting their asses handed to them with facts and her better verbal and rhetorical skills. But I've never used any other screen name other than the one I use now. (which was given/suggested to me...at first I actually thought the donor meant "Well Red" referring to me being an old fart southern male who has always read... a lot) So all the pcommers believing that are wrong...and not just about that. Couldn't resist....sorry.

And like others who truly made it HUGE from scratch (were not born rich,) pretty much the preponderance of people we can all name who did that voted for Obama. This is also true of business and tech geniuses who actually made it HUGE from scratch that we can name....not just black entertainers. I'm sure some folks actually made it big from scratch and didn't vote from Obama. People who were born very rich tend to not vote for Obama though some born rich very smart educated people DID vote for Obama. But at least a goodly portion of billionaires who got there from scratch did vote for

Mainly because they lie repeatedly and their lies promote voting against middle-class interests. The root organization that FOX came from is a channel that was founded as an "information" aka propaganda channel for the Republican Party. Sometimes their straight news is not terrible but it is often misleading enough to warp/seriously misinform people who mean no harm and believe them. Their commentary is not just biased....it is meant to misinform and steer voters to vote for Plutocratic interests instead of American middle-class real conservative interests. People who listen to FOX a
