Does anyone know of such a program? sitters charge 10.00 - 15.00 an hour or more. someone sent out by the VA to sit w/hubby, but that is going to stop soon.

My best friend needs someone to come to their home at least one day a week for several hours & sit w/her hubby. He had a sitter that the VA provided , but will be loosing that soon. Most sitters charge $10.00- 15.00 an hour & she can't do that. A friend told her of a program that was all volunteer that would sit for people to get out of the house & run errands, etc. But that was in Tenn. Does anyone know of volunteers who will do this? She lives in Canton. Ga
