  1. oops and GRRR!

It wont link directly to the page.

Go to inmate query, then type in Ferguson and drop down to the county of conviction & select Paulding. Then just click next on the screens that come after that.

His full name is Willis C Ferguson, Jr., I think.

Says he's still actively serving his sentence.

    Sorry 'bout that.

  2. I have Netzero and overall have been happy with it. I just use their regular dial-up, though They are pretty helpful when you have a question or problem. Had Bellsouth previously (just regular dial-up-at that time DSL wasn't available where I live) and their service was constantly disconnecting me without warning. I think they charge too much for their standard dial-up access (and monthly phone service for that matter).

  3. The best advice I got usually turned out the be the advice I refused to take, especially as a teenager and young adult. I was fortunate enough that I had parents and grandparents who had character, morals and good sense so I got ALOT of useful, important advice. Some I heeded, some I didn't. To any young person who might read this I say: the things you're told that sound cliche and repetetive sound that way because they've proven true, generation after generation. LISTEN.

Especially if it comes from a person who loves you and wants the best for you. It may not be something you consider fun and exciting but it can save you considerable grief down the road, and even make you a much better person.

  4. It appears to me the people who claim they're offended because they are Christians are the very ones who are openly intolerant or patronizing (if not downright hostile) toward this guy. What's up with that?

A true Christian person shouldn't have need to inform anyone of their Christianity. It should be evident in their dealings with others. It isn't so much about who's right and who's wrong as it is about who can we help along our way. Many times you see more of this in people who are without any religion than those who claim to be consumed with this one or that. Do you think Jesus would be threatened by this Dark1 fellow? I don't.

  5.  ...I can.  Our power was out for a week during the blizzard of '93.  My neighborhood is conveniently on the 'low priority' list with EMC.  Every time it goes out...we are the last to get turned back on.

DITTO!!! Back in '93, my part of the county was still rural and well, a lack of electricity renders a well pump useless. UGH! A whole week with no power OR water. Since I now have houses all around me where there once were trees, I'm hoping at least that means we won't be last on the list to have our power restored if it happens again.

Blah @ snow...and let's not forget the destruction of all those beautiful trees. DOUBLE BLAH! :glare:

  6. Any of you who hasn't read a book called "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff (It's All Small Stuff)" by Richard Carlson should make a point to do just that. It's well-written and easy to read; each "chapter" averages 2-3 pages so it's easy to read when you only have a few minutes to spare, and the author shares realistic ideas that are easily integrated into every day life.

I saw it almost everywhere books are sold when I was shopping for Christmas.

Not to say all the above aren't excellent suggestions. I read a quote or other thought someplace once (don't remember where or the exact wording) but the gist of it was this: why are we here if not to make life easier for our fellow man?

Chew on that a little while. :p

  7. Depends on whether you're in the part of Yorkville that uses a Rockmart mailing address. If it's Dallas, your mail most likely comes thru Dallas. I have a Rockmart address and haven't had any problems, but I am aware of several people in Dallas AND Hiram who have sent mail that seemingly vanished en route. Seems every time they raise the postal rates (or even contemplate raising the rate), the mail service gets less reliable. Reckon why that would be, especially since so much business that was previously transacted by mail is now done on the phone and the internet?
