  1. So, I was looking for a pic of my wedding dress (some of you remember that whole thing!) and I searched my email. As you may recall, I posted my dress for sale - along with a funny description. Well, I got a TON of replies, but I must have overlooked this one!!! Cause I would have done it in a NY minute!

    Email Response:

    Hey there...

My name is Beth Black, and I am an Executive Producer at Fox 5 News in Atlanta. I'm contacting you to determine if your posting on Craigslist is true, and if it is ... could we do a story about it?

    Let me know!

    Thanks -

    Beth

    HOW DID I MISS THIS?!?!?!

What did the Craigslist posting say?

  2. As a person who deals with customers all day long, it's refreshing to have someone to goof on from time to time. At the HVAC company i work for- everyone walks around acting all prestigious and almost majestic with little sense of humor and then there's me, having a good time, but wishing i was around other fun folks. I envy both of you

Yes it is refreshing to goof off. I work in a pretty laid back office as well, I've even brought my dog in from time to time.

Hey Guard Dad - if you brought your dog in then you could just blame the gas episodes on him/her. :p

  3. Maybe Jacob distracted Sayid because he was meant to get hit by the car, too.

Hey, that is a very good explanation. He was trying to stop Sayid from getting hit also. So Jacob was trying to do good by EVERYONE.

I love this show, I don't know if I will be able to wait a year until the next season starts. What will I do! :cray:

  4. Wow! This is a very powerful message and I think it is so great to hear someone who takes a stand in what they believe in. I will admit that up until a few years ago I was a person who didn't like guns for all the negative aspects that I had always heard of them. But until recently I have come to realize that the purpose of owning a gun is not for all those negative reasons. It is for exactly what this message states, which is for prevention. Thank you for posting this, as I know it will really put things in perspective for a lot of people.

  5. Welcome:

I have to say that "cornonthecobb" is upset with me because she sought to have a little different name ... has to do with some game involving holes and corn that is supposed to be on some 'board' ... Now when I first saw the name, I thought dirty thoughts and thought I was being played. My question is should I let her have the thing she calls a board game for a name? ... or would the snickers be too intense and the more modest members run away?

When I first heard your description of the game I realized what game she was talking about. I looked up the correct name for it and I didn't know that's what it was called. You have a platform or board with a hole in it about 25 feet from you, and the object is to throw a bean bag either on top of the board or through the hole. It is mostly played at outdoor gatherings or tailgate parties, but it usually involves a bean bag in one hand and an acoloholic beverage of some sort in the other. Fun game.

  6. How scarey for that truck driver to be hanging on like that and then jump off onto the interstate...people are getting crazier and crazier by the day I tell ya

Yeah, that's gotta hurt. I wonder what kind of injuries he sustained from that. Hope he turns out okay.

  7. See...I tried that, but he's a quick little booger. Almost every time he bites it's when someone is reaching into the cage - even if they're just reaching for the bowl. He'll leap up three flights, take a nip, and then take off back to his little hidey hole where I can't get to him.

Maybe I should take out the hidey hole. ^_^ BeBop might get ticked though. :pardon:

I have a cockatoo that will sometimes do the same thing to other people. He will lunge at them and try to nip them when ever they get close. He doesn't do it to me or my husband. Just people he doesn't know well or visitors. He is trying to test them and establish dominance over them....that's how parrots are.

Does he usually bite you or only other people? It might be a dominance thing.

  8. Yes high protein diet and lots of veggies. I dont think it is to expensive. I pay 90$ a month for support and the pills.

90$ a month?!?!?! No wonder this diet works, you won't be able to afford groceries! :p Instead of forking over that money, maybe a better idea would be to use it to buy healthy foods and maybe a gym membership. Just a suggestion. Good luck with the diet!
