  1. Yeah I tried searching too and it only led me to this thread. I'm curious as to what exactly happened.

    Prayers for the family.

Well, when someone in custody dies, some official explanation is due. Was it natural causes, inmate violence, or guard related? After all the PCSO does work for US, and they have to be accountable. A simple 25 words or less press release will do.

    That doesn't diminish anyone's grief.

    Yes, I agree. Well said.

  2. When I read your first thread, I was definitely under the impression that it was tongue and cheek, and just rolled my eyes, and kept on moving. Now that I see there is a petition out there, a legit one at that, the only thing that comes to mind is utter absurdity.

If in some delusional world this thing were to actually pass, how would one ensure that all existing gun owners would comply to having their gun painted pink? That's next to impossible. Also, what most people that aren't knowledgeable about guns don't know is that many come with a Teflon coating and cannot be painted. It also would not be very practical for hunting purposes, as many hunting firearms are preferred to be camouflage. And how are we to differentiate from a child's toy gun if all firearms are to be painted pink?

And I can't help but feel that this idea, to me anyway, seems somewhat derogatory towards any gun owner. I mean let's just go ahead and give a scarlet letter to anyone that owns a gun.

  3. Looky there!

Had it saved on the space station. (laptop)

Like Papi said, DO NOT SKIMP ON THE CHEESE!!

I use Boar's Head Black Wax Sharp Yellow Cheddar Cheese.

Find it at your local Kroger Deli.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 (16 ounce) package macaroni

    • 8 tablespoons butter

    • 8 tablespoons flour

    • 2 cups milk

    • 2 cups cream

    • 1 teaspoon salt

    • fresh ground black pepper, to taste

    • 4 cups cheddar cheese, shredded good quality

    • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs, buttered

    Directions:

    1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

    2. Cook and drain macaroni according to package directions; set aside.

    3. In a large saucepan melt butter.

    4. Add flour mixed with salt and pepper, using a whisk to stir until well blended.

    5. Pour milk and cream in gradually; stirring constantly.

    6. Bring to boiling point and boil 2 minutes (stirring constantly).

    7. Reduce heat and cook (stirring constantly) 10 minutes.

    8. Add shredded cheddar little by little and simmer an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese melts.

    9. Turn off flame.

    10. Add macaroni to the saucepan and toss to coat with the cheese sauce.

    11. Transfer macaroni to a buttered baking dish.

    12. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

    13. Bake 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.

You can also freeze this recipe in zip-lock bags for later use - once you have mixed the macaroni along with the cheese sauce allow to cool to room temperature before adding to your freezer - I generally pull it out the night before and allow macaroni and cheese to reach room temperature; I then add the macaroni and cheese to a buttered baking dish, sprinkle with bread crumbs and then bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until golden brown on top and bubbling.

This is exactly how I make my macaroni and cheese, minus the bread crumbs. It's awesome!! It's actually my mother-in-laws recipe. She's a true southern belle through and through.

    :good:

  4. For a lot of people family coverage on an employer plan is exceeding $1000 a month (for the employee costs) for smaller business. Here (14 employees, really good plan) we have almost all singles but one family coverage and they do pay almost $1100, of course it is less of an impact because it is pretax, but still... It's getting crazy...

We pay for our own health insurance, not through an employer, it just went up to a little over $900 a month. That's for me, my husband and my nine month old.

    I agree...it's getting very crazy.

  5. But I'm not getting welfare, foodstamps, etc. And I WANT IT!! We spend $600 a month or more on food...What else can I get, now that I'm lower class? Someone just fill me in and point me in the direction of the hand outs PLEASE!

Haa haa! I know what you mean. Hubby and I were talking the other day about how expensive things have gotten over the past few years. Neither one of us has jobs right now and have been looking for a long time. Our grocery bills have also increased because we have a new little one. Diapers and baby food can really add up!! Jokingly, he says we should take advantage of all the hand outs Obama is giving before he screws this country up anymore! I think he was half serious!

  6. I hope it's okay if I post my resume here. Hopefully someone can help me out. I'm in need of a full time job, or part time, either in office or independent contracting. Please PM or call me at . Thanks

You started with AutoCAD 12? You are a rare individual. Earliest version I worked on was AutoCAD 2000. If you happen to find a company that needs any CAD drafters please let me know. I've been out of work for 3 years now and still haven't had any luck.

    Good luck!!
