  1. This guy hasn't had a very good day.

June 10) -- Imagine driving up to a house you own only to find it's not there anymore. That's what happened to Al Byrd of Atlanta on Monday afternoon.

Byrd received a call from a neighbor on June 8 telling him that his childhood home in Carrollton, Ga., had been demolished. When Byrd arrived on the scene with a Carroll County Sheriff's deputy, he found the home, which he still owns, in ruins, the Times-Georgian reported.

    Rest of the story here

  2. Oh, I dunno, maybe because it's six years old?

Do you know for a fact that it didn't run on the front page six years ago?

I haven't known of any mainstream media source that runs the same story on the front page for six years. I'm just sayin'....

Having said that--wonderful words of wisdom by the judge. :)

 I don't know of any that does that either.

But seriously, this was comforting to read, knowing there is a judge like that in our justice system.

  3. I agree with what Ron Paul said in the video. The are over-hyping this whole thing on the H1N1 flue and I think its an excuse for the government to "come to the rescue" and have a reason to interfere with the medical system. It's time that governement start to have a lower profile and let the people think for themselves. JMHO

  4. Floor and Decor

    Dalton

There is also a floor and decor in Kennesaw at the corner of Barrett Pkwy and Cobb Pkwy. They have lots of flooring to choose from and it the prices seem reasonable. I am planning on purchasing slate tile from there to install on my back patio. Can't wait until we do that, it will look so nice!!

  5. Aww, poor thing. I'm sure she will feel better soon though.

My sweet dog is at the vet today, getting her annual shots, dental cleaning and ears cleaned. I felt so bad dropping her off this morning. You can tell she was nervous when I took her in because she keeped pulling in the opposite direction. I know she will be happy when I go to pick her up though.

  6. It's actually illegal in NJ to pump your own gas lol. My husband was up there and attempted to get his own gas and the attendant got upset and said it was illegal.

As far as tipping when out to eat, we base it on service, usually start at 15% and it will go up or down from there. I'll also tip my hair lady, she does a good job :)

Yes, that's what we were told too when we drove through NJ. It almost felt awkward that someone else had to pump our gas since we are used to pumping our own.

I always try to tip 20% or more when I go out to eat because I know that is where they make their money -- TIPS!

  7. I received an email the other day that I thought was quite funny. Property taxes have always been a nusance to me. Anyway thought you guys might like this. Sorry if you've already seen it before. Enjoy!
