yeah might be a great idea if you dont have a chronic illness some elderly people have to choose now between meds or food now. And just one more question came to mind why all the flap about the goverment telling you that you have to buy health insurance when the state has been doing this for quite awhile telling you you have to buy auto insurance?

yes (sigh) so we wait.Makes one long for the good old days...go to the Dr of choice see the Dr pay your 10.00 -25.00 go to the drug store and throw a fit about the high cost of prescription! Or we could go back further (before my time ) when you could pay for health care with a chicken or some other commodity.

Ok you rather join a health care system. the one and main thing I dont like about the "System" like Wellstar will offer is the fact they still dictate where you go for treatment what treatment you get. What if I want to go outside of wellstar? say for a second opinion or a better Dr. option...with the system I am forced to use a certain group of Doctors and certain hospitals All under wellstar. Might work for some but for me no thanks.

Lol I remember one time when we were on vacation down at my grandparents place in Kentucky and they lived on a hill where a road ran below, well me and our cousins were bored one day so we decided to throw plums off a plum tree across the road ,well needless to say a car got hit we got caught,but not one of us knew who's plum hit the car! I know mine didnt because I didnt throw mine down but across the hill lol but we all got it in THE END because we were throwing plums.

all this talk about insurance I have to ask.does anyone know of a good place to go talk to someone about coverage? Right now I am a rider on husbands policy but he wants to retire so I need coverage and he will need supplemental insurance.

when I had surgery one time they put me on antibiotics while I was in the hospital as a precaution so I would not get an infection....that says alot

Perhaps but I have been to a Dr and they run a test and when I return they try and do the same test again until I ask them about it and they laugh and say oh your right we already did that one Unfortunately I have a jacked up back with referred pain and I have to take pain meds,believe me I would give anything to find an alternative plan to fix my health,back doc says surgery but no guarantee.So meds are the only relief I have , I have tried injections PT and a whole host of things to no advail,and I hate it. But at my age like you say a pill is easier to precribe then trying to find somethi

in just my opinion could it be that pure greed, waste,are reasons for increases in insurance? I can remember back in 1970's we had insurance that paid 100% of everything...but people abused it over used it so cost went up. Now when you go to a Dr or a hospital look at the cost of labs, meds,impaitent care they pass on to insurance! can you believe the cost of a tylenol in a hospital is probably 25.00!Really...how many times have you went to a Dr and unnecessary test are run. A blind person should have seen this coming a long time ago,I will point my finger at no one party until blame is placed
