My home needs a lot of work also. But I thank God that I have a home. Just think about people that have no home . Some sleeping under bridges some on the street just makes me thankful to have a place to put my bed.So don't wish that no matter what shape your house is in because you could be in it when it burns.Just look around and we can always find someone that is in worst shape than we are. They are not thinking. I know a man that drives the roads everyday and he told me that he never uses his blinkers . He said if you use your blinkers that the people will speed up so you can't change lanes. To me that is just crazy not to use your blinker.

I just don't know any way to stop lighting from running into your house. I have a ground rod 8ft long in the ground with my breaker box grounded to that . I also have the meter grounded to the ground rod so I don't know any thing else to do. I think it may have run the gas line but not sure.

Thank everyone for the kind words. We are so blessed that this happened in the day and not the night. Well folks I thank God that I still have a home. We had a lighting strike Sunday afternoon that took out our tv vcr and dvd player. It ran into our wash room and knocked the receptacle cover off of the wall and split it in half. When is this event taking place please?

People that say we need to do this or that when they really mean you need to do it while I do nothing. Like someone has already said we are building a house and never pick up a hammer. I saw a TV show last night where they took this man dressed like a old homeless man and put him on the corner of the street . They then had three teenage boys [ Actors also] to start beating the old man just to see how many people passing would stop to help the old man. There is something fishy about this story.

I saw the video it was really funny what they did at the offices. But I have met people that can't take a joke and don't want people joking with them. So if you don't know the person really well you are taking a chance of making someone mad. I know that I joke to much but just can't stop.

I think it does us all good to vent over the things that bother us. Even if we can't change what makes us vent it still helps to get it out . Like Navy Eagle did sometimes it is better to vent at home than to have trouble on the job.So I think that a little bit of venting is very good and relieves stress.
