E1, L1, B2, all reserves on call responding to structure fire - 169 Fleetwood Way sounds like a chimney fire 12:55 - 3410 on scene, ladder 1 responding non-emergency

11:49 - R1 and Clarks cancelled per Dallas PD

R1, Clarks, battalion 1 responding possible o/d with perscription drugs - 34 yof 11:36 - Dallas PD also enroute

I did not hear the initial address. The last transmission that I hard was for B2 and R2 going back in service. Normally, they will say "Clarks will be transporting..." but I did not hear anything to lead me to believe that the child was transported. I've had a lot of radio testing traffic that holds the channel - so I probably missed the Clarks transmission if they relayed anything about the status of the child.

both of the fire units just went in service. no details on condition of child

Battalion 2 and rescue 2 just responded to an 18 mo old child unconscious having a seizure. Parent stated that the baby was blue as the units arrived just minutes ago.

Must have had the chemicals out as they are preparing to move. Per the call - the EMS units were cancelled, so I think the child will be fine. Probably just scared the parents....

10:25 - my internet connection went down. Per poison control, no medical care required - clarks and R1 went back in service at 10:22.

Clarks transporting child to CHOA. R9 in service.

OD/poisoning - R1 & med 1 responding 17 month year old child - drank some type of cleaner. Poinson control is on the line with parent.

R9 reports status 10-4 As a father that has had EMS at the door 5 times in the past, I can say that it only hits you after the EMS workers get there....

I think he will be dealt with - at a minimum he should be charged with aggravated assault on the officer and making terroristic threats. The AA charge should be several years in jail.

update: 4/4 12:28 - Since I didn't hear the initial call on this, I went back and listened to the archive on scanpaulding.com. Unit 191 was at the residence and called a 10-32 - suspect with firearm (rifle). SWAT was immediately activated. The rest is history. One bad guy to jail, officers went home safely.

Do you think it would more or less "traumatic" to hear it on the radio waves?
